There's a few rational minded posters, but not many. Good for a chuckle of two.

you guys are seriously hilarious. Last offseason when we heard the Jets were even remotely interested in signing Law it was chaotic on here for months. He signed, and it was like we won the superbowl. But now he's just a washed up locker room cancer who was never very good in the first place eh?

Seriously, that has dominated much of the offseason IMHO.

Jets fans trolling about Herm and now I will bet this place with be filled with them starting early tomorrow morning about Law.

chubychecker 07-23-2006 11:04 PM

Even jets fans are making fun of bartee

"I guess William Bartee will be getting some extra spending money soon when Law takes #24.

87 career games and still zero interceptions for Bartee.

That's what they teach 'em at Oklahoma."

And some reason we still keep this guy on our roster. The reason why I will never know.

Jets fans sure are miserable bastards. They will go 4-12 and make a terrible pick in the draft. They are always good for a few laughs. Too bad we can't kick their asses again this year.

Mecca 07-24-2006 01:15 AM

Hey now if the Jets are bad enough to get a top 5 pick they can pretty much assure themselves of Adrian Peterson, Calvin Johnson or Dwayne Jarrett.....that's not to bad.

MGRS13 07-24-2006 01:33 AM

I went over to there site, and I can uderstand the hate they have for Herm the way he left was pretty cowardly. But they do come off pretty bitter sounding. It's sorta sad. Some of the people that post I should say not all of them, but the ones that are bitter, WOW they need some mental help.

I am pretty sure they will draft a fullback or something.

They're really no different than Chiefs fans. Recall that many "geniouses" on here wanted to cut Mitchell pretty badly. Of course, now, a bit later, they're fine with him starting in the middle.

Not sure how the Mitchell situation is comparable. Mitchell was playing like shit, so fans wanted him replaced.

How is that like Jets fans pretending that Ty Law sucks after a Pro Bowl season?

They're already here.

And their bitter whining is already annoying as hell.

Oh, but he wasn't bitter nor was he here to talk smack.

He was wanting to extend a helping hand and warn us about how disappointed we'd be with Herm.

Such a nice guy, where would we be without his brotherly guidance?

I was looking at the rather sudden change in perspective that occurred. People went from wanting Mitchell cut to thinking he was a good linebacker; it's amazing what a little playing time experience will do for a talented player (Chiefs fans aren't known for patience). Similarly, Jets fans thought Law was teh win until he became a Chief. Suddenly, he's past his prime and it was a bad move on our part.

On the surface, their situations are completely different. In terms of somewhat quickly changing perspectives by fans, they're similar.

They're the same in terms of fan reaction. Good lord, I didn't think this would be difficult.

I was actually hoping we were trading up to get Jarrett. Is it too early for a new draft planet? :-)

If the Chiefs got Dwayne Jarrett I'd probably be the happiest man on the planet......problem is he's a top 10 pick at worst.
