Peterson is a fraud
You Peterson worshipers should get off of our knees in front of that clown.
First no Priest....2nd no Kennison.....3rd no Roaf. Anyone to take bets that before camp is over that Shields cashes it in? Maybe the players are not buying into the hype of Herm Edwards. How can anyone justify Peterson keeping his job? He knew (alledged) this about Roaf and Kennison stuff since the spring. He is a puke. |

Am I missing something? Who in the world are the Peterson worshipers?
I certainly don't agree with a lot of CP's choices, but I find it difficult to believe that he had anything to do with Priest's neck or Willie's hamstring. Kennison I'll give you. |

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Peterson trade for Roaf, or at least sign him, when everyone thought he was done?! I mean really, shut the **** up. Peterson has put together a very nice team. Some people are impossible to please, it's sad really.
Without Peterson we'd have no Larry Johnson, either. I know the majority of you don't know anything about football, I realize that, but Carl Peterson is one of the best GM's in football. Few argue that, on paper, we had one of the best teams, if not the best team, in the NFL LAST year. What happens during the season with coaching moves and injuries is really out of Peterson's hands. |

He knew about Roaf retiring in the spring and was hoping to talk him out of it.....did nothing to ensure his backup (Turley, give me a break) Kennison you acknowledged. Signing Law.....big deal. These other concerns show up more glaring than the lack of a CB (that has been for the last several years) |
Everyone mentions the Siavii's, Sims, etc. etc. etc. but no one seems to point out the trade for Green, the Priest signing, the Roaf signing, drafting LJ, Brian Waters, getting key players the last two offseasons, even Marcus Allen and Joe Montana.
**** it, let's can Peterson. Who the hell are we going to bring in that's going to do any better? Daniel Snyder? You want someone to spend money and still lose? |
Anyone counting on Priest Holmes to play this season is a fool.
Anyone counting on Willie Roaf to play an entire season at age 36 without injury was fool. He was out 6 games last year and had problems in a few others. It's best to move forward from the start of TC, instead of switching Jordan Black from left to right to left to right all season. Anyone counting on EK at age 33 is a fool. His numbers would have likely gone down regardless of whether or not he decides to hold out. The Chiefs have been loading up on receivers the past few years and have sent them to NFLE & the practice squad. They knew this day was coming and should be prepared. The sky is not falling. |

This is why I love chiefsplanet. Full meltdown mode is always entertaining. |

I respect what Peterson has done this offseason, but I'm not surely not a worshipper.
He really can't control the EK issue, or Roaf, or Priest. |
Its very rare a team goes through an offseason and training camp without suprises and conflicts. How it is the GMs fault someone retires when he would be recieving the largest salary of his career is beyond me, sounds like he flexed his financial muscle all he could. And blaming him for Priest is absurd.
I'm no worshipper, but he seems quite sufficient to me. IMO Kennison is holding out cause everything else is running so smoothly. His agent probably told him since the team is putting an emphasis on tying all loose ends before camp, to throw a stick in the wheel. Moooo |

Everyone knows we're going to have to rebuild starting next year, this is our last shot being legit super bowl contenders. We lost a great LT, a big piece of our offense, but we still have enough talent to get it done on the offensive side of the ball, we just have to make some adjustments. Give me a break though, who cares if Priest is ready to go? We have Larry Johnson. Kennison isn't a factor, I guarantee that'll work itself out. We lost a guy that couldn't give it another go, we'll be ok. Blaming this on Peterson is dumb. |

NOW the off season is officially over...

They've been preparing for this for some time. There are several young receivers, lineman, and even a young tight end waiting for a chance to play. I can't believe that people think the season is over because Roaf retired! Insane. |

Are you sure about Roaf and his committment? There has been the speculation since then that he might retire. You ****ing know it alls got all the answers that is plain to see. |

Yes, Im sure about Roaf's comments in the 'spring'...he was the one who talked to Shields about returning for another. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2449291 I dont have all the answers, but Im in firm grasp of reality. |

Where so damn spoiled on the offensive side of the ball it's silly. Even without Roaf other fans would kill to have the offensive weapons we do. I'm down about him leaving but have you ever seen the man just lumber around as he tries to walk? At some point you've gotta hang it up.
As far as it being Peterson's fault, well that's just stupid. |

The reason I say except is it takes more than one player to constitute a rebuilding year. Even Roaf. Moooo |

I never said it was Petersons fault with Roaf going gimpy. Anyway, maybe one of the young guys do step up and make us forget about him....I think Green and LJ sure hope so. |
For someone who's been since 2000 should have some calm and sense.
Peterson has done a great job this offseason. He got all the draft picks signed and ready for camp-- something hardly anyone else in the NFL did. He signed Ty Law. Nuff Said. And now your blaming Herm Edward for players issues? Like I said, the EK issue, Roaf retiring, and Priest being questionable are things Carl and Herm can't control. |

The DV era is over. With it goes some of his players. He did leave a nice core of guys for Herm to work with. It's a rebuild year but not as bad as a 49ers rebuild. A couple of injuries to the Broncos and KC can still compete for the division.
|
Repeat after me; "Willie Roaf was the MVP of this team." We saw what happened without him last year and it ain't pretty.

Man I missed the Footall Season ROFL ROFL
Yesterday - yeah were going to the Superbowl Today - God we suck we going to be first in the Draft next year. Could we change the formum name back to the Mental Ward, like we did for a time last year, or the Bi - polar Lounge. :D |
Calm and sense?
OK, I'm officially adopting that one in hopes of getting it in the lexicon. |
Well, I got the answer to the question I posed yesterday, which was, "How much goodwill did Carl buy with signing Law and getting all the draft picks in camp on time?".
One day. |

Calm and sense should tell you it'll become part of the lexicon easily. |
Carl Peter$on is an a$$ clown. For the "real fans" who paid the $1000.00 per season ticket, you just got clowned by one of the biggest hucksters ever know to sport. I know there are several of his family members posting here saying how great he is, but Big Carl rang the registers a few weeks ago with around $70 million dollars in season ticket purchases. Anybody who saw Roaf hobble of the field last year every game could have predicted this, but Carl: 1). fooled the fans into thinking he was coming back, even though he had a good idea he couldn't, and 2). probably didn't prepare us very well, now that he is gone. Enjoy the rebuilding season, the $9.00 beers, and feel good when Carl breaks out his 2007 version full-length leather coat, and thumbs his nose at you when he drives by you in his Mercedes. PS - I used to be a real fan (aka season ticket holder) until I finally tired of all the BS coming out of 1 Arrowhead Drive.
