Jay Cutler hurt?

Interesting blog news:

Cutler May Have Rotator Cuff Injury
Posted Oct 15th 2006 11:54PM by Sam Handler
Filed under: Broncos, AFC West, NFL Injuries, NFL Rumors

So the luxury of having a blog instead of a real newspaper gig is that I can break crazy rumors like this one:

Gabe Stein, another guy that writes on the blog, heard from a Bronco-affiliated source on the light rail coming back from the game that Jay Cutler has torn his rotator cuff, or at least sustained a shoulder injury. He called me right after he found out. Again, the rumor is very unsubstantiated, Gabe could have been tricked by a drunken fan, etc., but as it stands, there's a decent possibility dude was telling the truth.

According to the source, something in Cutler's shoulder popped while he was throwing during Sunday's pre-game warmups, and the training staff is assuming for now that it is a tear in the rotator cuff. The rookie quarterback will likely have an MRI tomorrow to confirm the damage.

More news on this as it breaks. Or tears. News as it tears.

Thig Lyfe 10-16-2006 10:21 PM

Eh oh. Looks like Broncos are stuck with Jake the Mistake.

ChiefsFire 10-16-2006 10:22 PM

has this been posted on the Minge yet?

Hammock Parties 10-16-2006 10:22 PM

Yeah. They are sticking their heads in the sand.

DaFace 10-16-2006 10:24 PM

Not exactly a reliable source here. It would be cool if it were true, I guess, but whatever.

You are ****ing delusional dude. The posts that aren't making fun of you are pretty much all skeptical of this "report" and for good cause. There really is nothing to suggest that he was injured. All during the game he was fine on the sidelines with no ice on his shoulder or anything.

Keep praying though Bob, we know Cutler scares the shit out of you.

How would an injury to someone be cool? Let me guess, it's because he's a Bronco right?

SoCalBronco 10-16-2006 10:49 PM

Have another donut, Clayton.

So far, this is about as credible as a Nick Athan "The Chiefs are about to sign super free agent X" report.

Hammock Parties 10-16-2006 10:49 PM

Definitely not cool, but it is news, or semi-news. We shall see.

There's nothing that points to this being true, so we can pretty much file it under the idiot blogger category.

While I'm thinking about it, what are you gonna do while you are gone from the Mane? I bet you go into withdrawls within 2 months.

Why would you hope for an injury to a player? You guys should be the last ones to do that, seeing as how this whole site melted down when TrInt got taken out.

So let me get this straight:

1. GoatCheeze of all f**king people posts a complete rumor
2. You come and argue with him about it

Man, I wish I was that bored with life sometimes.

Hammock Parties 10-16-2006 11:09 PM

The words "Stay down, bitch" can incite Orange Mane members to anger in less than 10 seconds. It is an incredible power I wield.

And again with the standard deflection for someone getting owned.

You're owning me so badly! Help!

My issue isn't with him posting the rumor, it's him acting like the board is melting down as a result when it was easily dismissed as just a rumor.

Hammock Parties 10-16-2006 11:11 PM

That might anger me if Priest wasn't already retired.

Well boo-****ing-hoo. Cry me a river. I'm sorry my opinion of the situation doesn't meet your standards. Maybe you can tell me what to post from now on so everything is peachy.

Do you think the reaction would have been any different if we said that stuff about TrInt? Luckily we won't know, because most Bronco fans have more class than that.

My point is that you're bothering to argue with a POS troll like him, especially over somthing this stupid. I thought you were better than that. It's obvious he's either drunk again or has taken another blow to the head.

Your opinion was a 100% complete misrepresentation of the situation over there.

Hammock Parties 10-16-2006 11:13 PM

But not, you, of course. Eat shit, troll.

Not really. I saw it differently. Chill out and stop obsessing over me. Find a new crush.

Very true.

I know several people who would be happy to provide a few blows up side his hide. Hmmm...where is Skip Towne at when you need him? :)

Bull-****ing-shit Clayton, and you know it.

Hulamau 10-16-2006 11:17 PM

Its total nonsence of course and Boob knows it, but couldn't wait to spread the muck around here.

Shanahan went through his whole injury report this morning which is always very thorough and complete and not a peep about Cutler which would be front page news.

Shanny would get reamed big time by the local media if something that big just happened to slip his mind during his injury report and he knows it. Not a chance!

Not to mention Cutler was very active along the sidelines all during the game Sunday night with no ice on his shoulder and still in full uniform the whole game.

So, sorry Chief fans, no such luck, but it is amazing to see that some of you guys have stooped to praying for opponent injuries!

Has it really gotten that bad in Chiefland?

Yes. We're hoping to learn how to cheat at the salary cap soon, though. Also, we've invested in a new performance enhancing chemical that you guys might be familiar with:

More importantly, where's the romper room when you need it. I'm beginning to think it should never have been eliminated.

I missed this earlier. I don't mean that I would find personal joy in his pain. However, it would be "cool" in the sense that it would probably be positive news for the Chiefs' chances for a possible QBOTF of yours to be delayed in his "arrival" to the NFL.

After this year, I've come to appreciate that injuries (on or off the field) are part of the game. I don't think we'd be ruling the NFL right now if it weren't for injuries, but we've certainly taken a beating this year.

I agree with the injury statement as classless, but ****ing come on you know half your board is a bunch of asshats.. Hell you have that inbred hillbilly Spider as a ringleader...
