I saw Patton Oswalt a couple years ago some heckler gave him shit. Then Mr Oswalt lit into the guy so harshly he apologized.

noa 11-27-2006 11:28 PM

I've been to a few comedy shows with hecklers and I have yet to see a funny one. The only heckelrs I have seen are people who are too drunk and are with friends who are embarrassed to tell the person to shut up. That would piss me off if I was a comedian, but I wouldn't assault anybody or go on racist tirades.

Frazod 11-27-2006 11:48 PM

I'm not defending what michael richards did but I really would like to see what led up to the comments he made. I doubt he'd have much of a career if every time he got on stage he just started throwing the N word around.

That being said after listening to that I'm pretty sure he's got some serious racial issues that he needs to deal with, pronto.

He also needs to turn in his KKK membership card.

Demonpenz 11-28-2006 12:44 AM

i find it strange. I wonder if richards got along with the black cast members of seinfield alright?

Archie F. Swin 11-28-2006 09:14 AM

Its becoming quite clear as to why comedians need to keep people laughing.

They're just seconds away from snapping.

I saw Patton Oswalt 2 years ago and he gave it to a heckler then too. He didn't "lit into the guy" but Patton was definately lit at the time LMAO

I don't remember there being any black cast members. Were there, other than the occasional extra?

Best response to a heckler by a performer?

Maybe it's stretching the definitions a bit, but for me it would be Mike Ditka (when he was a player) running up on and laying a wicked block on an idiot fan that ran onto the field for his "look at me" moment. The fool flew several yards, and looked very relieved when the cops grabbed him.

Sorry, can't find video of it.

Kotter, good one. :)

It wasn't Ditka it was Mike Curtis who played for the Colts. He decked that guy.

Ditka did it to a guy too, when he was playing TE for Da Bears.

I'll have to remember the other one. Good trivia bit.

If I remember correctly, Curtis was calling the defense in the huddle when some drunk ran out on the field to steal the ball. Curtis turned and made a classic clothes lines sending the guy sprawling on his back and the ball rolling away. Cops then hauled him off. It was classic!

Not a comedian being heckled, but this is still pretty funny. She's doing a report on the rise in violence in the district:

Ironic. She was doing a piece on street violence and ends up physically going after a guy who was just goofing on her a bit.
