And with the click of the send button...

... my undergraduate college career is completed. My Senior thesis' final draft was the final step, and now that it is gone, I am now "officially" a college graduate.

Halleluia
Holy Shit!!!
Where's the Tylenol???

noa 12-13-2006 03:30 PM

I know. I just thought the quote from "Christmas Vacation" fit in there.

noa 12-13-2006 03:31 PM

What was the thesis topic?

FAX 12-13-2006 03:31 PM

Congratulations, Mr. Sully.

You should be very proud of your achievement.

And you are certain you sent "seniorthesisfinal.doc" and not "chicksspanking.jpg"?

It concerned THomas Jefferson, Viginia, and the Separation of Chruch and State.

Other than that, I've forgotten a year's work already.

Sent 'em both. Brown nosing never hurts.

NewChief 12-13-2006 03:37 PM

Congrats! The only bad news is that I'm sure there's some piece of paperwork or ****ling detail that you'll need to attend to before you actually graduate. Trust me on this one. ;)

I read that "It concerned Thomas Jefferson, Vagina, and the separation..." ...that's when I stopped.

Congratulations.

StcChief 12-13-2006 03:39 PM

Congrats....Now get a job. No freeloading :p

I did the paperwork ance this morning, actually. I will NEVER recommend UMKC to a potential student. I'm graduating from there, and have absolutely loved some of the professors I've had. But the way they run things there, and their A&S Afvising office in particular is horrendous.

Sending in this final draft was just sort of a technicality, since I already got a good grade on a previous draft.

I'm almost there. One final class tonight and my MBA will be complete. Congrats, man. If you feel like I do, it's been a long time coming.

OnTheWarpath15 12-13-2006 03:56 PM

Congrats Sully. I'm currently working on my BS in Secondary Ed.

I still have 2.5 years to go, and can't wait for the day......

Only regret is that I didn't start sooner.

Best of luck in your Masters program.....

I'm 30.
So, yes, it's been a VERY long time coming.

Reaper16 12-13-2006 04:46 PM

Awesome, graduating and all. I'm just happy to have a 20 day break before starting next semester ;)

Of course, it's not much of a break when I have to revise a paper for the national Comparative Drama Conference in LA. It'll be worth it though.

Anyway,

Sweet. I'll never forget thinking that once I finished defending my thesis, it would all be over. I then spent the next 6 hours running all over campus trying to get various things stamped and signed. Sucked hard. I was all lined up to hit the bars at about noon and ended up doing that instead.

patteeu 12-13-2006 06:03 PM

Congratulations Sully! :toast:

You too, Da Face! :)

Jenson71 12-13-2006 06:10 PM

Congratulations, sir. Your thesis sounds great.

The day I graduated, I forgot to pick up my honor cord, ran all the way across campus to find out they'd brought them over to the ceremony :banghead:

Dammit Hamas :cuss:

I hope they don't count off too much for spelling errors.

You'll be happy to know that, unless I got something in the vicinity of a -50% on my Quantitative Analysis final exam, I didn't. Now I just have to do this whole "moving" thing. Ugh.

Iowanian 12-13-2006 09:29 PM

Great.

Congratulations.

Get to work, pay taxes....pay more taxes.

Gain 10 pounds and practice talking about how much fun you used to have in college.
