Happy days are here again...the sky above is clear again...!

And thus ends one of the darkest eras of Missouri history. Elson Floyd was a trainwreck and his wife is a whack job of the highest order.

Let's all send Carmento some boxes of saltines just for old times sake!

hawkchief 12-13-2006 04:27 PM

Floyd is covered in almost as much teflon as Carl Peterson. Incredible how poeple like Floyd and Peterson not only keep their jobs, but actually get promoted for their efforts.

WilliamTheIrish 12-13-2006 04:37 PM

He and Hemenway are equally incompetent.

Don't forget Weiser and Wefald in that group. People dumb enough to hire Bob Thuggins should not have their jobs.

buddha 12-13-2006 04:52 PM

Floyd found the gold mine. Become an African American educational administrator and just keep looking for higher paying gigs. After the Clemons affair and the jailhouse tapes (his wife's unforgetable comments), any other president would have either been fired or been asked to step down. Not Floyd and not at Missouri. Floyd could had done virtually anything and not gotten fired at Mizzou. Floyd then became a central figure in Mike Alden's botched Quin Snyder firing. Once again, he could not have handled things any poorer. The world has now come full circle....we will know that race relations are where they should be when an incompetent like Floyd is fired...not because of the color of his skin, but because of the unacceptability of his actions.

I hope that MU is wiser in their next hire.

Well, at least they aren't paying a football coach that hasn't finished .500 in conference 1.5 mil a year.

$1.5mm will look like peanuts when KSU faces the embarrasment of having to de-flea themselves of THuggins once he has his brand of player/thug on campus. It won't end pretty, or inexpensively.

Hiring Huggins was a stroke of genius. That's already proven by the season tix sales. The pub generated by Huggins has been priceless.

I see where Hemenway cost KU a big research grant two months ago. Nice job.

KcMizzou 12-13-2006 05:08 PM

Yes.... thank God.

Glad you think THuggins was a good hire. Many KSU fans and most of the nation view KSU as a pathetic institution tha sold its' soul to get a few W's. Let's see how much you like the hire in a few years.

"Research grant" is sucking at the teet of the guvmint. Fewer the better. The results of the research is almost always, "we need more money to study the affects of coffee drinking; softer toilet paper; why your kid is so stoopid; why your and idiot and I'm a genious, blah, blah, blah)."

"So Long....Crackers!!"

CoMoChief 12-13-2006 05:36 PM

At least MU is going in the right direction.

Still don't think Mike Anderson was a good hire, regardless of what their record is against poor teams.

Pinkel needs to go, end of story.

tomahawk kid 12-13-2006 05:56 PM

Santa came early.

Time to close the door and move on.

Saulbadguy 12-13-2006 06:11 PM

Speaking of MU, how are the bowl tickets selling? I heard under 2k were sold, and students get free tickets, and very reduced lodging and travel.

Yeah it's getting pretty desperate. I dont know anyone in Columbia thats going to this game. Fans around here are so fed up with Pinkel and the way the program just died in mid season that no one wants to spend the time and energy to watch MU get their asses kicked.

I think the deal was is that for MU students, $100 would get you a ticket to the game, travel (chartered bus), and a hotel room.

duncan_idaho 12-13-2006 07:26 PM

I know a good portion of Mizzou fans are buying their tickets directly through the Sun Bowl ...because the best seats weren't available through the MU ticket office.

There will be more than 2k Mizzou fans there.

CoMoChief:

Have you watched Mizzou play with Anderson? Why is he a mistake? Who, available, would have been better?

Yea, universities routinely poo-poo losing 17 million in grant money. Nice job by Chancellor Hemenway.
