The Christmas Song Thread

I've been listening to Chirstmas songs while wrapping presents today. I'm just trying to get into the spirit for when I go to mom's later this evening for Christmas with my nieces and nephews.

There's one, I think it's called The Gift. I've been trying to find who sings it. I found the lyrics, and where Garth Brooks sang it, but there's a version out with a girl singing it that I absolutely love. The last line contains "the very first nightingale's song." ANy help would be greatly appreciated.

Other than that, what are some of your favorite Christmas songs?

Jenson71 12-16-2006 04:04 PM

Bing Crosby - Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas
Nat King Cole - The Christmas Song

Two classics that really capture the mood of my perfect holiday.

The charlie Brown Christmas Soundtrack "O Christmas Tree" it's totally jazzy and captures the groove and feel of moving around town during Christmas, maybe while shopping or whatever - it's totally cool.

My favourite is Carol of the Bells. It's fantastic as an instrumental.

On a lighter note I heard something the other day called Dominick the Christmas Donkey. Very funny.
