I wouldn't be suprised to see the hawks come out flat. I hope we can pull off another road win.

Lzen 01-29-2007 08:09 PM

6 straight in Lincoln? Really? I didn't realize that. I remember a time when going to Lincoln was almost as bad as going to Ames for the Jayhawks.

Go Hawks!

Lzen 01-29-2007 08:10 PM

Julian Wright with the first 4 points for the Jayhawks.

Lzen 01-29-2007 08:11 PM

Now Wright with the steal and dunk attempt. Free throws coming up. I think he is trying to make up for Saturday.

BWillie 01-29-2007 08:17 PM

It's amazing how assertive he tries to be after he's scored a couple baskets. Took two bad shot attempts after his first 8. I'd like to see the middle of the two. Not the crazy chucking ill advised shots or the invisible super star either.

CoMoChief 01-29-2007 08:19 PM

KU will crush 'em.

Lzen 01-29-2007 08:24 PM

Looks like Rush and Wright really came to play tonight.

ArrowheadHawk 01-29-2007 08:26 PM

lets put em down boys and then focus on A&M

big nasty kcnut 01-29-2007 08:26 PM

Jayhawk win.

the Talking Can 01-29-2007 08:29 PM

when ku is "ON" they are probably the best team in the country...

chiefsfan987 01-29-2007 08:34 PM

Wow, the hawks aren't sleepwalking through this game like I thought they might. Nice start! Don't let up.

KCFalcon59 01-29-2007 08:34 PM

wow

ArrowheadHawk 01-29-2007 08:37 PM

pretty good so far hope they can keep it up for 40

Lzen 01-29-2007 08:38 PM

Holy crap! 7 minutes left in the half and KU has held Nebraska to just 6 points.

BWillie 01-29-2007 08:39 PM

Why do they make Collins lose so much weight? He looked bad ass at 5-11 215 lbs and ripped. He was the fastest player on the team then, he's the fastest on the team now. Why make him lose that much weight? He ran a 4.5 for god sakes, keep eatin' the food Sherron. Don't listen to them. I want KU to have HUGE guards

Bugeater 01-29-2007 08:39 PM

Wow, what a great game.

Bugeater 01-29-2007 08:40 PM

10:00 without a FG. LMAO

Lzen 01-29-2007 08:40 PM

Wow, Wright with a three. KU is hitting everything.

No, he wasn't as quick as he could be. He's much quicker and therefore tougher for opponents to guard. I think there is a direct correlation between his weight loss and his scoreing as of late.

6 points in one half, that is amazing.

Lzen 01-29-2007 08:44 PM

Nebraska 2-15 FGs.

I wonder what the fewest points allowed by the Jayhawks in a half is?

ArrowheadHawk 01-29-2007 08:46 PM

wow i can't believe they still only have 2 made baskets

Although I did see a few Husker fans on Saturday. Probably less than 20 overall.

DJay23 01-29-2007 08:47 PM

By my count we're on a 24-0 run. Nebraska has 2 FG, 2 3 pointers and that's it.

Amazing and pathetic all in one. :)

KU plays terrific defense, yes. But NU has missed a lot shots that I've seen KU opponents make.

Saulbadguy 01-29-2007 08:48 PM

They talked about Nebraskas "Top 15 recruiting class"? According to, hoopscoop.com?

Agreed. I've seen alot of bad basketball, but I can't remember seeing anything this bad.

Dr. Johnny Fever 01-29-2007 08:49 PM

Thanks for reminding me the game was on. I just turned it over and holy crap it's 36-6!

Come on Hawks, keep 'em in single digits in the half!

Lzen 01-29-2007 08:51 PM

Wow, they finally hit another FG at the 2 and a half minute mark of the first half.

Only 39-8 now.

Saulbadguy 01-29-2007 08:51 PM

Larry the Cable guy a Husker fan. Makes sense.

DJay23 01-29-2007 08:51 PM

Sweet, that unfunny Cable Guy dude is in the stands watching the home team get educated.

chiefsfan987 01-29-2007 08:52 PM

How about a 40 point halftime lead? Do the hawks have it in them?

Dr. Johnny Fever 01-29-2007 08:53 PM

SHIT! 11 points... we're failures on d.

chiefsfan987 01-29-2007 08:53 PM

Well so much for that.

Bugeater 01-29-2007 08:53 PM

HAHA We're in the double digits now.

DJay23 01-29-2007 08:54 PM

I love how the crowd comes alive after they pull to within 30.

Simply Red 01-29-2007 08:55 PM

Just tuned in.

Good Game!!

They are the greatest fans in america.

leviw 01-29-2007 08:57 PM

Nebraska has had two Big Monday games in the last 9 years. I'm not sure if they'll get another.

CoMoChief 01-29-2007 08:58 PM

This is an old fashioin butt whoppin

DaKCMan AP 01-29-2007 08:58 PM

Good start, great 1st half.

Rock chalk :)

chiefsfan987 01-29-2007 08:59 PM

Did Nebraska score the last 8 points of the half? They went on a little run there.

greg63 01-29-2007 09:03 PM

I almost feel sorry for Nebraska; almost.

I wonder if Neb. will try to go after an offensive board in the 2nd half.

DJJasonp 01-29-2007 09:11 PM

It's going to get ugly in the 2nd half...Self better pull the starters with 12:00 left in the game....

chiefsfan987 01-29-2007 09:13 PM

Hey, those were those people from Americas got Talent.

chiefsfan987 01-29-2007 09:18 PM

Does Kaun actually look at the basket when he shoots? It seems like he just throws it up and hopes it goes in most of the time.

greg63 01-29-2007 09:52 PM

I wonder what Wright's second tallent is?

crazycoffey 01-29-2007 09:53 PM

I turned it off at 28 to 6

Pitt Gorilla 01-29-2007 09:54 PM

I was actually cheering for KU to hold Nebraska to six points in the first half. They probably would have if they would have rebounded better and the refs would have called NU for traveling when they should. I can't believe NU fans paid to see that kind of effort in the first half.

Rush is a great player and makes those around him better.

chiefsfan987 01-29-2007 09:55 PM

Kansas won the 2004 Bowling championship? I didn't even know they had a team.

They looked like a bored team the second half. I blame the first half ass thumping for that.

Bearcat 01-29-2007 10:06 PM

Can't wait until March.

Did I just hear Sal Paolontonio ask if the Colts had enough time to adapt to being in Miami? Is the SB tomorrow?

it's still the inability to keep focus

they lost the 2nd half by 7 points for the same reasons they lost to Oral Roberts ... bucknell .....

it's a problem

You think? He shows more attention to KU than he does his own KSU..

Saul is quickly becoming a KU homer!

Fran said the Jayhawks won it while he was talking about Julian Wright learning how to bowl. He must have been mistaken.

ROYC75 01-29-2007 10:22 PM

I don't give a shit who calls it what, this KU team lose's it's focus way too often. Yes KU has the better talent and there is NO REASON for NU to outscore KU in the 2nd half, even with a very large lead unless playing 3rd stringers.

FTR, That Anderson kid is one hell of a shooter, but he better control his anger.
