Empty Seats

did anybody else notice the empty seats at the game?

and these were prime seats bottom row between the 20's

the NFL needs to get theses seats back into the hands (or rather asses) of fans

Why? The NFL just made XX millions dollars off this superbowl. Why would they care if 50,000 left the stadium when millions were still watching at home?

The NFL needs to raise the ticket prices even more. Nobody cheered when the teams took the field, nobody was really cheering during the game, half of them left WAAAAY before the game was over...

The problem is that Joe Fan is over-represented at the Pooper Bowl.

I was hoping someone else noticed this. I thought I saw empty seats early in the game too. Like maybe people were waiting around for the rain to stop before they sat down, then eventually gave up and left. As the game wore on, I could swear I saw more and more empties. That's just sad.

Yeah, I know that the SB hasn't been about fans for a long time, but I was very very happy that the rain didn't let up and kept falling for the duration of the game. I bet that pissed off some of those people something fierce. I bet the scalpers were none to happy about the rain either.

Maybe the NFL will learn its lesson from this disaster and split the Super Bowl tickets 50/50 between the home and away teams to sell to their season ticket holders since they know the real fans would never let a little rain get in the way. ROFL

That wouldn't surprise me at all if they did that.

most fans in attendance at the SB don't really give a shit who wins...their just their to be a part of it.

Yep; no one wanted the Colts to win.

I'd be interested to see what Stevieray has to say.

Or in Sunny San Diego, where it was 80 degrees with no clouds in the sky yesterday.

I was at the game and left at halftime. There was a miserable, driving rain all game and it would have taken hours to leave the stadium at end. Most of the crowd was soaked. They did have a nice honoring of Lamar and the fly over was awesome. The NFL VIP party Saturday night and NFL tailgate party at game were great. The NFL spends a fortune on their parties and they do them right.

On TV it sounded like it was mostly a Bears crowd. I could here Mush when Muhammad was introduced and when he scored his touchdown.

Also, early in the game Tarick Glenn was flagged for a false start that the announcers sited noise as the factor.

64 Chief 02-05-2007 08:11 PM

I saw about an equal distribution of Colts and Bears fans. A predicted influx of wealthy bears fans didn't happen as prices of tickets and hotels fell sharply a few days before the game.

HMc 02-05-2007 08:33 PM

i think neutral sites are ghey.

Bwana 02-05-2007 08:43 PM

I caught the empty seats myself....fuggen limp nipples. Biff and Muffy wouldn't want to get the hair messy from the moisture, for it may go flat!!

That thought crossed my mind as well. Should have been played here. I can't believe how nice it was yesterday.
