A&M leading 36-28 with less than 5 minutes to go in the 1st half.

I said after the KU loss to Texas Tech that A&M was the best team in the Big 12, and I was lambasted by my fellow KU fans.

Guess what?

Hell, if you're going since the KU loss to Tech, I'd say Kansas State is the best team in the Big 12.

We'll see what happens in the tourney, may man.

A&M won't end up in 1st, though. KU has the easiest schedule in the Big XII this year..the top 3 teams in the South all play(ed) in Lawrence.

All I'm saying is that as much as we would like it to be true, KU just isn't the best in the Big 12 right now. I think they proved that on Saturday night.

Sure, KU is 2nd best. But it still sucks.

I agree that we have an easy schedule. However, home court advantage clearly isn't all it's cracked up to be.

If you're going from the time KU lost to Tech (same week KSU won at ISU), there's no argument that says K-State isn't the best team in the Big 12.

I'm not just counting from that time. I'm just saying that prior to the the TT loss, KU was very much overrated.

Acie Law is my favorite player in the Big 12, by the way.

Eh, they're both Texas teams; therefore it matters not who loses.

Eh, I don't think they were ever overrated. I'd maintain they are one of the top two or three teams in the country talent wise.

Underachieving, on the other hand, is a whole different discussion.

Maybe at the guard position, but clearly not in the paint. I really hope Self has a big man slated to come in and dominate next year, but I doubt it.

He scares the hell out of me.

At the Big 12 Tourney last year I turned down a hall and he was stretching right in the center of it. There wasn't enough room to go around him. So I just stood there and thought he would let me through. Nope, he just starred at me for the next 10-15 seconds (felt like 10-15 hours) and kept right stretching.

It didn't take me long to figure out he wasn't going to move. So I just turned around and left.

Shoulda knocked his ass out.

Dude, Arthur is fantastic. But he's clearly hit a freshman wall. But he's not the big guy that can score down low and grab boards that Self likes to have. Kaun fits the type, he just can't consistently score.

Cole Aldrich (6-11, 245) coming in next year. I don't have huge expectations. He has injury problems and, judging by every picture I've seen, doesn't look like much of a player.

I'm convinced he had some sort of weapon in his warm-up and was daring me to challenge that he didn't.

So my mom just called. She's at some seminar for work here in Manhattan. The converstation went something like this.

Her: Hey, I just won a Nike basketball signed by Bob Higgins. Do you want it?
Me: Bob Huggins?
Her: YEAH!
Me: Umm, yeah. Why don't you keep that.
