Texas @ Texas A&M

A&M leading 36-28 with less than 5 minutes to go in the 1st half.

Silock 02-05-2007 09:00 PM

I said after the KU loss to Texas Tech that A&M was the best team in the Big 12, and I was lambasted by my fellow KU fans.

Guess what?

leviw 02-05-2007 09:02 PM

Hell, if you're going since the KU loss to Tech, I'd say Kansas State is the best team in the Big 12.

We'll see what happens in the tourney, may man.

A&M won't end up in 1st, though. KU has the easiest schedule in the Big XII this year..the top 3 teams in the South all play(ed) in Lawrence.

?

All I'm saying is that as much as we would like it to be true, KU just isn't the best in the Big 12 right now. I think they proved that on Saturday night.

Sure, KU is 2nd best. But it still sucks.

I agree that we have an easy schedule. However, home court advantage clearly isn't all it's cracked up to be.

I wasn't being sarcastic.

If you're going from the time KU lost to Tech (same week KSU won at ISU), there's no argument that says K-State isn't the best team in the Big 12.

:shake: EMAW :shake:

Archie F. Swin 02-05-2007 09:08 PM

thats a great looking court

I'm not just counting from that time. I'm just saying that prior to the the TT loss, KU was very much overrated.

leviw 02-05-2007 09:10 PM

Acie Law is my favorite player in the Big 12, by the way.

2) Aaron Bruce, BU
3) Mario Boggan, OSU
4) Stefhon Hannah, MU
5) Sherron Collins, KU
-tie-6) Wesley Johnson, ISU
-tie-6) David Hoskins, KSU

greg63 02-05-2007 09:12 PM

Eh, they're both Texas teams; therefore it matters not who loses.

Eh, I don't think they were ever overrated. I'd maintain they are one of the top two or three teams in the country talent wise.

Underachieving, on the other hand, is a whole different discussion.

Saulbadguy 02-05-2007 09:12 PM

Non K-State player, I gotta go with JamesOn Curry..because he is a THUG.

Maybe at the guard position, but clearly not in the paint. I really hope Self has a big man slated to come in and dominate next year, but I doubt it.

He scares the hell out of me.

At the Big 12 Tourney last year I turned down a hall and he was stretching right in the center of it. There wasn't enough room to go around him. So I just stood there and thought he would let me through. Nope, he just starred at me for the next 10-15 seconds (felt like 10-15 hours) and kept right stretching.

It didn't take me long to figure out he wasn't going to move. So I just turned around and left.

Saulbadguy 02-05-2007 09:19 PM

Shoulda knocked his ass out.

Dude, Arthur is fantastic. But he's clearly hit a freshman wall. But he's not the big guy that can score down low and grab boards that Self likes to have. Kaun fits the type, he just can't consistently score.

Cole Aldrich (6-11, 245) coming in next year. I don't have huge expectations. He has injury problems and, judging by every picture I've seen, doesn't look like much of a player.

I'm convinced he had some sort of weapon in his warm-up and was daring me to challenge that he didn't.

So my mom just called. She's at some seminar for work here in Manhattan. The converstation went something like this.

Her: Hey, I just won a Nike basketball signed by Bob Higgins. Do you want it?
Me: Bob Huggins?
Her: YEAH!
Me: Umm, yeah. Why don't you keep that.
Her: OK! Bye.

Absolutely. But like you said, he's not the big body down low that most successful teams have.

This is Durant's game, now. Wow. Wow. Wow

Saulbadguy 02-05-2007 09:39 PM

Durant taking it over.

Saulbadguy 02-05-2007 09:39 PM

I think UT will win. A&M is just piling up the fouls.

KCFalcon59 02-05-2007 09:40 PM

Looked like he rolled it over pretty good. But yeah, tape should do the trick.

They haven't really slacked without him though.

I'm not sure what we're debating any more.

In other news, Josh Carter is having a great night.

Saulbadguy 02-05-2007 10:06 PM

Thank you for talking about us, Dickie V :grouphug:

Archie F. Swin 02-05-2007 10:10 PM

Did I mention Josh Carter?

Tremendous.

Saulbadguy 02-05-2007 10:11 PM

Looks like A&M has this in hand. 12 point lead, 4 minutes left...no chance they will lose.

For the record, I agreed with both statements.

Though I gave you a rep it, I hope he hits the game-winning FTs on Wednesday because of that post.

Same girl is teaching the 7'3" "Chief" Bennet how to get more than 1 rebound per game.
