I really disagree with this, well if they are in order from best to 20th best I do.

Even if they aren't Donnie Edwards isn't on the list and I know he is a top 20 FA, same with Kris Dielman.

Take a look for yourself and decide

Is Edwards actually a free agent, or is he simply overpaid at this point and is soon to be a free agent.

I don't think they're in order but then again who knows with SI

ProFootballTalk is saying that the Giants cut their LT Luke Petitgout. He broke his leg last season, but he was their #1 pick a while back. I wonder if he's worth a look.

They're missing Jared Allen, but they might as well since we're going to pay through the nose to keep him.

I would love to have Justin Smith - but I guess we are set at ends. June would make sense - with the cover 2 and all. I dunno. I would like to see us bring in a vet wideout and a OL player. But, otherwise - I say let build through the draft.

I'd be thrilled if we could land Stallworth and Steinbach or Davis.

I don't really expect either to happen.

SI is full of shit. I wouldn't pay for a Happy Meal to get Jeff Garcia. What good is he to any team? He'll go to a team like the Bills or something and have a very Trent Dilfer/Jon Kitna like season. No team will be able to make great use of him like the Eagles.

If Leonard Davis is really #19, Carl needs to get on the phone right now.

Carl's line is tied up right now, he's making reservations with his travel agent.

If that's what it takes to make sure we miss out on Leonard Davis, I'm all for it.

Are any of those guys the "missing piece" for any team?

Looking at that list, there are a couple of guys that might help some teams, but will likely overprice themselves.

I'm hoping we don't go after any high priced FA, and just focus on building a team through the draft that can contend when we get a real coach.

This year, nobody will get signed right away... The agents think that the larger than usual increase in salary cap will get their players exponentially larger salaries. The teams think that the increase in salary cap will finally net them an extra great player or two and some breathing space. Teams anticipated this awhile ago, and made sure that no big names were free agents this year. Big names have too much leverage on the open market and set a standard that makes people over pay for smaller names as well. Small names can't just wait till camp and expect to get whatever they want like Ty Law did.

I am more interested in us cutting the chaff and freeing up cap space for future years than signing free agents this year. If all is right for the Chiefs they will use this year to start a true rebuilding effort.

Jared Allen is a restricted free agent, thats why he's not listed.

If that's true, we should at least have our doctors look at him so Carl can say he has a narrow spine before he makes the Pro Bowl for someone else.

I don't know how serious the knee is, but if he's on this list, I would think there are people that think it isn't a deal-breaker.

I agree, underappriciated, undervalued, white boy wide reciever. Kinda reminds me of Don Bebe. Looks like a move Carl might be willing to make.

I see a lot of guys who shouldn't or won't be FAs. I also see a lot of guys the Chiefs shouldn't or won't try to sign.
