About to tip-off in Boulder...

leviw 02-14-2007 08:04 PM

Coors Event Center isn't even close to being half full.

chiefsfan987 02-14-2007 08:08 PM

The national anthem was nice :)

leviw 02-14-2007 08:14 PM

4-3 KU, 15:59

KU=Sluggish
CU=Normal

Saulbadguy 02-14-2007 08:20 PM

Levi, check this out.

http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p...AVPPoster1.jpg

leviw 02-14-2007 08:21 PM

10-3 KU, 13:51

KU- Shady with four points off the bench
--Wright with a nice dunk
--Good defense

CU- Missed a 50-foot heave after the ball was knocked into the backcourt and the shot clock was running down.

leviw 02-14-2007 08:22 PM

I saw that. It's tremendous. I hope someone brings it on Monday.

leviw 02-14-2007 08:24 PM

14-5 KU.

Colorado is bad.

Fish 02-14-2007 08:25 PM

Damn... hawks starting strong....

leviw 02-14-2007 08:36 PM

23-10 KU, 6:39

Roby: 0-2, 0 points off the bench.

Hound333 02-14-2007 08:37 PM

Ok colorado is horrible. The only person in the room that is worse is the person running the scoreboard.

leviw 02-14-2007 08:46 PM

29-16 KU, under 4 to go 1st half.

Hawks being a little too unselfish.

Chiefs_Mike_Topeka 02-14-2007 08:50 PM

IS KU the most lay up missing team in the country?

:banghead:

leviw 02-14-2007 08:50 PM

29-21 KU, 2:58.

I think, anyway. The scoreboard has been off all night.

Nevertheless, CU on a little run.

Chiefs_Mike_Topeka 02-14-2007 08:51 PM

Damn I hate Big 12 refs......... this game so far is all about the shitty refs.

Not as bad as last night's KSU/NU game. The Cats were worked over like I haven't seen this year.

Well its being called shitty both ways; I mean come on 20 fouls in one half? Thats frigging ridiculous; seems like the refs are trying to keep the game slow so they don't have to run in the altitude or some shit.

Now fans are throwing things.

That'll slow it down.

????? Don't know, the KSU/Tex-Ass game might have been worse. I think the Cats were called for another non foul against Durant just a minute ago.

Durant gets that treatment everywhere now. It comes with the territory when you're great.

Chiefs_Mike_Topeka 02-14-2007 08:58 PM

KU 38
CU 22

At the half.

leviw 02-14-2007 08:59 PM

38-22 KU, Halftime.

Random Fact thanks to Dave Armstrong: In the Ricardo Patton era at CU, in games when the Buffs trail by 10 or more at half, they are 2-60.

Chiefs_Mike_Topeka 02-14-2007 09:00 PM

Damn KU 12 fouls, CU 11 fouls. That is friggin ridiculous, especially in this game where there is not any real banging going on. Big 12 refs are pathetic.

We were worked over in more ways than one. Perhaps the way they called it, it got in the players heads and they stayed away from Maric. It got in their heads, which it shouldn't have.

Agree with you for the most part. Also seemed like the players were channeling ol' coach Woolridge for most of the game. They looked completely off from the last few weeks.

True, but it also put Hoskins on the bench for the stretch run, which goes beyond head games.

BTW, I'm not sure why I'm making excuses for K-State???

Yep, the losers mentality. They just got it in their head that there was nothing they could do to win the game, which was completely false. NU shot very well, but they did not defend particular well. It was amazing we only lost by the margin we did, which told me we had a chance the entire game. The only players on the floor that thought we had a chance were Maybank and Young (surprise, surprise).

You are one of the few people that actually watches the games. Most KU fans don't know what is happening outside of Lawrence, so you get alot of ignorance (all about volume I suppose). I try to watch every Big XII game that gets televised, gotta keep up with what is going on.

A lot of truth in that.

Did you watch the women by chance?

Hey put me in that group, as a matter of fact unless KSU is playing KU I always root for them.

But I try to watch every Big 12 game I can like yourself.

Some of us have a life and don't care who wins between Nebraska and Iowa State. It just isn't relevant.

Chiefs_Mike_Topeka 02-14-2007 09:19 PM

I like this rotation of Arthur and Jackson; works alot better than having Kaun in for the majority of the minutes.

Actually it has a lot of relevance towards seedings in the Big 12 Tourney where all 12 teams are involved.

Also, even as a casual fan, it's good to have a little knowledge of players on other teams and what's going on around the league...even if it's just for smack talk purposes.

Wow did they really just announce that was a Napa Auto parts 3 pointer? Thats some shit you hear at a D-3 school. Whats next, the Dairy Queen free throw?

So are we. Quit covering them.

I see they lost by two. Sweat fouled with a tied game and six seconds left. CU hit both free throws, and Lehning missed a jumper at the buzzer.

They play at the "Coors Event Center". Heh.

I always laugh at Texas Tech and all their O'Reillys shit on their coaches shirts, and the ads they have on their court. That is embarrassing.

banyon 02-14-2007 09:24 PM

We are sleepwalking through this game and it doesn't really matter.

CoMoChief 02-14-2007 09:25 PM

Whats the score. I lilve in Columbia, so any KU game thats not televised naitonally obviously I dont get to see. Did MU win tonite. I know Baylor starting coming back with 5min left but I fell asleep.

I noticed they took them off the court for the women's games, so it must just be a Knight thing.

Stupid.

MU won 78-71.

53-33 here, 12:50 to go.

Oh, wait, you want the arrogant-Kansas-fan-response.... the reason people in Iowa State and Nebraska know so much is that if they really want to watch good basketball, they have to watch Kansas, Kansas, and Kansas. I mean, what's the point of watching if there's not one of those little numbers next to the team? Or, for that matter, "KANSAS" on the front of the jersey?

One game against he worst team in the league doesnt impress me one bit. I still think he sucks and needs to be on the bench during good games.

Kahn and Robinson are having their best effort in several games.

That's the problem with Kahn, though. He only shows up in Clown time.

When games matter, we rely on Collins, Rush, Wright, and Chalmers in that order lately.

actually chalmers has pretty much stunk lately

kaun is still learning ... he's only in his 4th? year of playing any kind of basketball.

i think confidence is a big thing too ....... having another team foul him on purpose to help them win the game seems to shake him up alot. He's had the flu the last week or so as well.

Kaun's biggest issue is his inability to create on his own inside. He is at his best when the perimeter game is on and creating space. Arthur and even Jackson lately can create for themselves inside.

And I am glad Giles is gone......... another JR Giddens in my opinion.
