Time Waster: Name all 50 states in 10 min without looking.
 

I thought it was gonna be easy. You can't look at any maps etc. I thought I used to have this states song I learned in elementary school but I couldn't remember it. I got 48 out of 50. It's harder than you think.

Eh; I'll just look at a map the next time I have the urge to mention all fifty states.

I spent 3 minutes trying to figure out how "Connecticut" was spelled. Otherwise, extremely easy. Just think of the map.

I got about 44 of them and then I cheated my butt off. Even cheating it was difficult. Somehow I missed Kansas and Oklahoma - I input them with about 40 seconds remaining.

Got all 50 in 2 minutes, had 8 minutes to spare.

I got it in five minutes, but I couldn't remember how to spell a few.

I mispelled: Connecticut, Pennsylvania but I knew these...

I missed these: Utah, Alaska, Hawaii, Mississippi

Not bad for a foreigner (sp?)... I guess... heh!

I flew through it except for Wisconsin. I did get it, but it took forever to figure out the state I was missing. I have no idea why I would forget Wisconsin.

Brain lock on New Jersey and Wisconsin.

Had 49 with about 2 min left, kept thinking over and over visualizing the country in my head. I couldn't get the last one. Delaware.

got to 49 with 5:34 remaining.
Took me to 3:19 to get Colorado, stinking Donkeys!!

I missed Delaware. Had 2 minute left too. Spelling was a major obstacle.

I was able to do it in just over 5. :harumph:

But it was harder than I thought it would be.

6:32, took me two minutes to get the very last one.

I looked over the states and noticed I left out Nebraska.

With the help of my brilliant 14 year, we did it in 7 minutes. Took us 3 minutes to get Idaho. Even knowing the old joke!

Got them all with 6:49 to spare.

I remembered the song from a 4th grade stage production we put on for parents.

I just remember I had 48 of them with like 3:30 left and I couldnt think of the last two.


Did anyone try to think of sports teams and divisions to help them out? Thats what I did on some of them. haha

That was surprisingly challenging. I made it in just over 5 minutes. I couldn't conceive of Vermont or Maryland for the life of me.

If you want to waste more time....trying putting the names with the state.

That timer was fast. I was matching them up as fast as I could with no errors and ended up using 3/4 of the clock.

I got 47. The north east is always tough for me.

Couldn't think of Minnesota or Vermont.

Got them all with just over 3 minutes left. I can't believe the ones I almost forgot were Pennsylvania and Ohio.

I was done in 5 minutes 25 seconds and spent the last 4:35 forgetting about Connecticut. :banghead:

Granted, this was the second time around, but I did it this time in under three minutes.

I was always good at geography.

Got'em all in two minutes. Didn't have any problems with the last few, since I just moved from the NE to the south and out to the West in order.

rattled off the colonies on my fingers to 13, guess I thought I'd put conneticut in already. I missed arizona on the western states - I started on the four corners states and didn't get all 4 before jumping to some others.

5:27, but I spent about a minute and a half stalled at 48.

Alaska and Hawaii. I was only picturing the contiguous 48.

Delaware appears to be the stumper.

I got it (for #50) with 1:14 left.

Got 'em with 2:33 remaining. Got all but Rhode Island with about six minutes remaining.

LOL! You have a Kansas State logo, live in Arkansas, both of which border Missouri and Oklahoma! And you're on a board that is mostly Missourians! How could you miss those two? Sorry, no offense, but that's just too funny!

I got them all in 2 minutes 14 seconds. I would have cracked 2 minutes, but I typoed the hell out of oklahoma and took a while to figure out that i was missing the first "a".

Some of you may remember the 50 states that rhyme song in grade school. I was forced to memorise that song in 2nd grade and now, about 20 years later, I still remember it. To me this was just a typing contest, rattling them out on the keyboard in alphabetical order.

This is why naturalized citizens are superior to the rest of you idiots.

It's embarrassing that people can't name all 50 states. It's UN-AMERICAN.

I got all 50 with 3:35 left. Took me two minutes to figure out what I was missing, though. :p

Got it in 2:28. And only because I couldn't spell Massachusetts to save my life.

I'm dumb. I got 43/50. Forgot Vermont, delaware, kentucky, wyoming, and a two other I couldn't remember. I spent two minutes trying to spell massachusettes.

Same here. I got 49 with about 4 minutes to spare and never could figure out Delaware. I knew I was missing a New England state and still couldn't get it.

I got all 50 with 1:09 to spare. I would have done it with about 4 minutes left, but I could not figure out what states I was missing.

I was visually going over the map in my mind. I was missing Hawaii and Alaska. I felt dumb when I figured it out.

It took me like 5 minutes to figure out Minnesota. Got it with 10 seconds to spare. lol
