So what are CP's thoughts on Kevin Curtis?
Would you support this move? I have my doubts - but for the right price, I could be convinced.
What are your thoughts? |
Yes.
|
He reminds me of a that bettter Chris Horn. much better obviously -
|
He's good, but I think we might go for a WR in the draft.

Sign him and Ian Scott and I think we did great in free agency...
Also we don't have a kicker on the roster... maybe a late round draft pick? |

Some Tynes is better than no Tynes... |
I honestly don't understand why we're interested in him...but he might be a good #2 option when Kennison retires. I'm still hoping we draft a wide receiver that starts this year.

Curtis Webb Draft pick Dante |
Get Hall the fug outta here. I want to see Hannon get some PT.
|
I can't make up my mind on Curtis.
I want the Chiefs to draft one early and I also want to see Webb get some serious playing time. BUT our WR corp is either unproven(Webb, Hannon), old(Eddie), or terrible(Hall, Gardner, Parker) so that makes passing up a good young receiver almost impossible. Bottom line if the Chiefs can find a way to make it happen I guess I'm for it. |

He's no Stoyo but he's pretty damned good. What's the ****ing problem here Carl?!?! :cuss: |
The guy is solid, and probably affordable.

I agree with you, but missing a 25 yard field goal in the playoffs leaves a bad taste in your mouth. |

Or the offensive line going to $#it EVERY ****ing running play. HE'S A KICKER. He's there for 2 to 6 plays a game and he's money on most of them. If you're looking for a goat he's definitely not the man for that game... |

It's not like money spendinding teams, say Cowboys or Skins, need a dependable kicker... |

So who's gonna do punts?
Also this idea that a 6th round pick and an undrafted player will both become productive offensive players is pretty far fetched.....if they were productive special teams players it would be something. |
Webb's my new puppy. Oh yeah. Get ready for the first "What did Michael Irvin have that Webb doesn't already possess?" post.

Well put this way, St. Louis thought so much of him they went out signed Drew Bennett.

Curtis could return punts if we signed him....maybe that is Herm's thinking. Curtis is the replacement for Dante.

I don't think it could hurt. We can sign him to a reasonable price, even draft a WR in the 1st or 2nd rounds. Bringing in as many WRs as possible here is a good thing since we lack a starter there, and the depth at that position on our team is pretty thin. |

Trade Hall to Tampa Bay or Portland.

I don't think we should sign him after Sammy Knight de-capitated him last year. He probably still thinks his name is Curtis Kevin.

You hit it right on the head. Curtis would fit our "small ball" offense.......I would love it is we added him. He isnt afraid to go over the middle and he is quick when he gets the ball in traffic. |
No.
Sign Donte' Stallworth and draft BPA with the first pick. |
Decent and affordable. It would be a good pickup considering we have Kennison and no one else...
Anything that relegates Parker to the bench I'm in favor of. |
Curtis would be a good addition. as #2/#3.
|
Did KC bring Stallworth in for a look?

Dolphins | Stallworth expected to visit team
Tue, 6 Mar 2007 18:09:44 -0800 Albert Breer, writing for the Boston Herald, reports free agent WR Donte' Stallworth (Eagles) is expected to visit the Miami Dolphins. Man, Wayne wasn't lying when he said they would pull all stops to get back to winning after Saban bolted for Alabama. If they sign them, I officially hate the Dolphins. |
STALLWORTH SIGNED WITH THE PATS YOU COKE-ADDLED FREE MASON!

By Michael Felger Boston Herald Patriots Beat Columnist Wednesday, March 7, 2007 - Updated: 02:21 AM EST Wide receiver Donte Stallworth came and went from Foxboro yesterday without a signed contract, which is a departure from the way the Patriots [team stats] have done business so far this dizzying free agency season. Stallworth stands as the only player to visit Gillette Stadium and leave without a deal. That doesn’t mean the free agent receiver is off the Pats’ radar, however. There were various reports last night that the Pats had made a hard-to-believe, six-year, $32 million offer to Stallworth. Sources said Stallworth would make trips to Tennessee and Miami the next few days, and then choose between the various offers. There were other reports that Stallworth actually agreed to a deal, but those were apparently false alarms. Stallworth reportedly is in the NFL’s substance abuse program, which means he could be subjected to a suspension with another violation. As a result, the Pats would likely protect themselves with a contract that would hold back money if Stallworth ran afoul of the program again. There were also reports that Stallworth would accept a one-year, incentive-laden deal with an eye toward having a big year and going for the big free agent strike next year. Those rumblings didn’t seem to jibe with the offer purportedly set forth by the Pats. Stallworth’s agent are Drew Rosenhaus and his brother, Jason. While the pair largely avoided comment on Stallworth’s status, such confusion is not unusual with Rosenhaus clients. |

According to the Chiefs website, he is on the roster still. And before you assume that it is outdated, it has been updated to reflect the recent signings. http://www.kcchiefs.com/players/ I think Tynes is alright and hope we keep him. As for Curtis, I wouldn't mind seeing us sign him as long as it isn't for a ton of money. I would love to see Curtis and Webb battle for the #2 receiver position. I think Parker still has value as a #3 or #4 receiver. As for Dante Hall, I love the guy but last I knew he was making a lot of money for a 3/4 wideout. His KRs and PRs have declined over the past couple seasons enough to make me think that it's time for him to be cut. |

That guy is only looking to get paid, that is a awesome deal by the Pats that he walked away from.. You get a great chance at winning a championship and big money, seems to want a bigger contract... I blame his agents, if I was a GM I would avoid those players with those guys as his agents.. |

I would love to have Ian Scott. |
