So how much snow did you get?

We were supposed to get between 8-12 inches, and came away without a flurry.

sd4chiefs 04-13-2007 08:23 PM

It was sunny and 78 today.

Phobia 04-13-2007 09:25 PM

It's starting to stick here in KC and the roads are getting slick. I'm glad I'm in for the night. How much are we supposed to get?

mikeyis4dcats. 04-13-2007 09:26 PM

none so far in Topeka, but Berryton, about 10 miles south of my house in central Topeka, has about 2 inches. Emporia I hear has 4.

Are you in Denver? This was one of the biggest "complete misses" in weather forecasting I've ever been a part of.

I haven't heard, but it's really coming down hard here.

PinkFloyd 04-13-2007 09:29 PM

Nothing here yet but rain... Temp has dropped 7 degree's in the last hour... Winter weather advisory here from 10pm tonite til noon tomorrow...

It has rained all day just north of Tulsa. Sometimes really hard with lightning and thunder. It's supposed to rain all day tomorrow as well.

Nope, In the High Plains of Kansas, We did get a little under an inch of rain though and it's raining slighty as I speak.

stlchiefs 04-13-2007 10:07 PM

Rain in the STL. Dave Murray can lick my anus.

chiefbowe82 04-13-2007 10:08 PM

It's just kind of funny how everyone was preparing for a big blizzard, they were calling for lots of blowing snow, hazerdous conditions, and up to a foot of snow possible.
The actual outcome: light rain at times and calm.

StcChief 04-13-2007 11:53 PM

raining in STL but that's what they said anyway.

Better than snow/ice. warm ground / roads it would not matter anyway.

Mr. Flopnuts 04-14-2007 12:43 AM

I left IN for Seattle on Wednesday morning and woke up Thursday to find out about this storm warning. I raced through KS, CO, and WY trying to miss it. Luckily I did.

Ultra Peanut 04-14-2007 06:21 AM

HOLY JESUS I AM COVERED IN SKINWALKERS

Miles 04-14-2007 06:27 AM

The forecasters were saying around 12" and we didn't get a damn thing. A little sleet in the afternoon was all.

Stewie 04-14-2007 06:29 AM

Nothing but rain here in Shawnee.

Eleazar 04-14-2007 06:49 AM

Does anyone remember the last time we got more snow than they predicted?

Heck, the last time we got as much as they predicted?

In Denver this year it seemed like they constantly botched their predictions. Most of the time they predicted something that wasn't too much and it ended up being much worse. Screwed me more than a time or two driving to work and left me stranded at work once.

KCFalcon59 04-14-2007 07:59 AM

We were supposed to get 3-5 inches in Topeka. Of course we got zilch.

PinkFloyd 04-14-2007 07:59 AM

We got a whole bunch of

NOTHING !!!! Not even a flake....

jidar 04-14-2007 08:03 AM

How does KC look today? I'm in SEK and we got a couple inches this morning. I had planned on taking the family up to the Brigade game but we aren't going if it's slick up north.

I'm 45 minutes north of KC.... It's suppose to be about 45 today and near 65 tomorrow... I would think that anything that has stuck to the ground overnight, would be melted off by noon or so around KC....

Not sure how much they got though...

StcChief 04-14-2007 08:20 AM

zero just rain last nite

We ended up with 10 + inches, but no wind, came straight down with quarter sized flakes.
Yesterday the wife and I sat in the hot tub and watched it snow, was really beautiful

Dartgod 04-14-2007 09:13 AM

Hell's yeah!
Our power went out at 1 pm Thursday and didn't get turned back on until Friday night at 7 pm. So-long refrigerated goods. I needed to clean that beast out, anyway. Man, there was like a food-drips stew in there underneath the crispers.
