Guitar Crew!!!!!!! v. New Guitar
Many of you have seen my guitar threads around here, and how I have slowly been progressing. Anyways, I had this cheap little epiphone Les Paul 100. I loved the guitar dearly, as it was my first. Anyways, I ended up going through 3 of them, all of them coming down with one problem or another. So today, on Friday the 13th, I asked if I could just return my LP100 and buy something nicer to try and get a better quality guitar. After spending 2 hours walking around guitar center, I decided to purchase this. So far, I can't even sleep and ABSOLUTELY LOVE the way it sounds.

I used to have a Les Paul. Wonderful tone, they look great, but it's like having a bowling ball strapped around your neck. I bet it weighed at least twice what my Flying V weighs...
|
Nice axe. I'm a Les Paul guy myself(goldtop '57 reissue). LP Studios are great guitars for the money. I like the all black look.
Les Paul + Marshall amp = tone heaven  |
Sweet. I'd love to learn to play guitar.

Hell, I might take them along with him. |
I tried to learn to play, bought a cheap guitar and amp. Its just to difficult for me. My fingers just arent made to move like that.

You can seldom go wrong with a Gibson, and I have had good luck with my three Epi's - One LP, Pne dot 335, and one LP Bass. Lately, I've been eyeballing the Epi LP Ultra with the chambers to make it lighter. Reviews have been very good, and I can always upgrade the pickups to my preferred Seymour Duncan humbuckers.
|
Nice. I like the sound of a hollow body myself though.
|
I started trying to learn to play on this one the other day.
http://www.lydogbilde.no/getfile.php...0-%20gitar.jpg Seriously, though, nice lookin guitar. I know absolutely nothing about them from a buying or playing standpoint, but it looks great nonetheless. |
I've been a drummer since I was 14, taught myself to play bass for a few years, several years ago and am talking my wife into "allowing" or "authorizing" getting a guitar and taking some lessons.
I'll probably start with Acoustic, however I am open to suggestions on a good starter guitar, or should I go electric? BTW, I'm interested in learning, John Cougar, Eric Clapton, classic rock style songs. |
btw, the pictures look really cool and I'm happy to hear you are enjoying it.
|
I had a Gibson Les Paul, too.
one of my friend borrowed from me to took his wedding photo, and it never returns.... |
