**** YOU DUNGVER
mother****ers pick both Jarvis Moss and Marcus Thomas.
DAMN'T CARL!! :cuss: |
:homer:
|
What do you think of Marcus Thomas? I heard he was potential late 1st/early second talent, but smoked a little weed? Shit happens, stick that big fat MFer in the middle of our D! :)
|
You mean the guy who failed 4 drug tests and got kicked off the team...?
|
And they traded half their draft to get them.
|
So, Mr. Florida guy... what's your take on these two guys?
It was good to see Denver focus on the Dline this draft. |

Jarvis Moss is a good pass-rusher, but not as great against the run. He can still fill out his frame more and improve, though. I remember I went out with a group for dinner a few years ago after a game and he joined us. That was when he was still way too skinny and didn't get much playing time. Since then they found he had a health problem, fixed it and he was great this year. He hasn't hit a ceiling, either. He's very fast and is great on special teams blocking kicks (he made the game-winning block against south carolina). Marcus Thomas is one of, if not the, most talented DT in the draft. It's whether he can keep his head on straight and stay motivated. It's never good when a guy is kicked off the team. Hopefully he's matured. I just wish the donks hadn't drafted these guys so I could atleast be happy if they have success at the next level. |

Enh, you should still root for 'em... players change teams so frequently now...
I don't care much at all for the Falcons, but they now have Anderson and Houston. I wish 'em the best though. |
I also agree that while there's huge risk with selecting a guy with Thomas' recent issues... that kind of talent in R4 is nearly impossible to pass up, esp when your top need is improving the Dline.
Hopefully, it all works out. |
Don't ignore the rest of his post.
Thomas has HUGE upside. He might have been the best DT in college FB at one time. But you can't ignore the fact that he didn't just get in trouble - he got in so much trouble he got kicked off the team. That's not easy to do, especially when you're as talented as he is. |
Seems like this kid could be a boom or a bust...

I was surprised that Crowder was sitting there in R2... I'm reading how he is every bit as talented as Moss. We'll see what happens.
I've seen more than my share of draft classes that have sucked two years later. |

I read something on the OM where he made a comment prior to the draft that he would be willing to sign a contract that includes "character clauses". If so, that's a good thing.

Still a risk though. Before we got Tank Tyler I was hoping we'd take a risk on Thomas. Definitely didn't want him to go to you guys. |
UDFA Steve Harris (DT, Florida) signs with Broncos

Well, at least they're no longer targeting failed experiments from the Browns...
I think it's funny that Chris Leak is once again the backup to Grossman... |
You guys must hate it Oakland had the best draft.

"Chris Leak signed with Florida four years ago looking forward to the opportunity to work under and learn from veteran starting quarterback Rex Grossman. After going undrafted in the NFL draft on Sunday, Leak is finally going to have the opportunity. Less than an hour getting no love in the draft, Leak signed a free-agent contract with the Chicago Bears, making him one happy quarterback at the end of long and disappointing weekend." |

Well, yeah. Your team finished up as the worst team in the entire league. You should have had a better draft than both the Broncos and the Chiefs. Here's hoping for more of the same next year. |

In time, OAK should be good... but, I don't think I'd call it the best draft of the weekend. |

"Seven other undrafted Gators also signed free-agent contracts Sunday night. Fullback Billy Latsko signed with Carolina, center Steve Rissler with Dallas, wide receiver Jemalle Cornelius with Buffalo, cornerback Reggie Lewis with Buffalo, defensive tackle Steven Harris with Denver, linebacker Brian Crum with Kansas City and punter Eric Wilbur with the Houston Texans. Linebacker Earl Everett was weighing offers and was expected to sign with a team on Sunday night."
