Is it football season yet?

The days of the draft and the few days following were some good days on here. I can't wait for training camp. When does it start?

keg in kc 05-06-2007 05:12 PM

From now until late July is pretty much the ass end of the football year. The only news will be stuff out of OTA (organized team activities) and mini-camp, and rookie contract signings. It sucks.

luv 05-06-2007 05:18 PM

I got to go to about four games last year. Really got me psyched. Got some help in understanding the draft and our needs, so that fueled it even more. I guess I just never really paid that much attention to offseason stuff until this year. I have to wait until July? Harsh.

Reerun_KC 05-06-2007 05:21 PM

Yeah this time of the year is sucking ass...

maybe some one could stick a mic in front of Herm and we could get one of those hour long press conferences where he amazes us with his wit and lack of football knowledge...

PinkFloyd 05-06-2007 05:23 PM

I got a sweet deal on season tickets... Friend of mine is keeping them in his name, but I got at least 1 seat to all home games and maybe even 2 to all of them...

He moved and will not be able to make any of the games...

They sound good to me. I kinda like lower level myself (whenever I get to go). :)

Did I miss what happened to Tynes? Did he suddenly turn into major suckage? I thought he was doing pretty good.

He was OK, you just can't please all of the people all of the time. In KC you can't please any of the people any of the time.

If the new guy takes over and misses a FG or an EP he will be the slime of the earth.

If you miss 2 ep's in the same game, you're done.

Same here.

After looking at some stats that have been posted here, though... maybe his long makes (50+) have skewed my opinion. He's seems to have been great on the really long kicks, and maybe a bit below average on the kicks in the 40-50 yarders.

Either way, the choke on the easy one he missed in the playoffs probably sealed his fate.

I've actually never sat anywhere but the lower level. I don't mind standing through the game. I actually prefer to be jumping up and down and high-fiving my neighbors. True fans stand up!

Hello no! If you have to sit, you wait for when the cheerleaders come onto the field. That's when I sit down anyway. :)

True fans get their asses blitzed 5 hours before kickoff and then continue it inside... I don't know how many times in the years I've went where everyone is buying everybody a beer in the upper deck...

It's a fricking party up there...

Yes, but there's also a football game going on. Who drives you guys home afterwards?

Yeah, gotta get your buzz in the parking lot before you have to pay 6 bucks a beer.

Technically, yes. However, it is all uphill from here. Mini camps have begun, June brings roster cuts and signings, middle of July is training camp. We will be in preseason before we know it. :D

June is not nearly as interesting as it was 5 years ago. Very little happens on June 1 now.

Well, Mr. Glass is half empty, we have the pleasure of possibly seeing some future Chiefs in the World Bowl, June 23. So there.
