The Preseason is toast...How many games do we win this season?

Lay it on the line, how many games does this team win this year?

I'll go with 6.

I wanna say 2 but I'll go out on a limb and give them 4.

As of right now I wonder if we ever win a game. Ask me again in the morning when my stomach settles.

6-10 is what I picked earlier before preseason, I will stick with it....

I originally thought 7-9 but if they are favored by 13 or more vs. Detroit, then KC will lose that game by 14 or more and finish 6-10. After tonight, I might be aiming too high with 6 wins.

Direckshun 08-30-2007 09:04 PM

I'm saying 7.

Logical 08-30-2007 09:06 PM

Unfortunately Herm will find a way to eek out 7 wins.

I'd be hard pressed to find even 4 wins in our schedule based on what I've seen.

We'll be much better than what you've seen.

That said, I don't think we'll be good.

If it were all up to me, I'd play Croyle and other young guys all season. We're not going to do anything this season anyway.

Take the lumps, let these guys get some experience, and go from there.

tk13 08-30-2007 09:13 PM

I think we can Martyball our way to 10 wins if LJ stays healthy. It won't always be very pretty though.

Not this year.......his offseason PLAN of trying to win 10 games is going to bite him in the ass. Most fans will want Huards head on a stick by game 3. No way do they get this team to limp towards pick 13-16 in the draft this is a 3-5 win team at best.

It's possible, but I'm afraid we'd kill LJ in the process.

Hammock Parties 08-30-2007 09:16 PM

I'm standing firm on 10-6. All of you can kiss my ass.

Larry Johnson is not going to carry the ball 400 times.

Misplaced_Chiefs_Fan 08-30-2007 09:17 PM

I'm going for 6-10.

I was originally thinking 9-7 or 10-6. I just can't see it this year.

chiefsfan1963 08-30-2007 09:17 PM

as I have said for over a month now the only thing to look forward to this season is next year's draft. The decline of the O is pretty hard to watch. All those who were happy to see DV and AS go are getting what they deserve boring, predictable football! Oh yeah I forgot to mention no scoring, no first downs and basically not one brain cell of creativity.

Last year's playoff performance tells you all you need to know about where this team is headed.

We can only hope for the end of CP/Herm regime sooner rather than later!

Look at it his way when we do go 4-12 you can write a great story on how "close" we were to your prediction.

Spott 08-30-2007 09:21 PM

There's no option for zero?

SBK 08-30-2007 09:21 PM

10. We're a better team that what you've seen in the preseason.

I sure as hell hope not.

It'd be tempting when he's all we've got.

Splat420 08-30-2007 09:22 PM

I still feel the D and Gun have been holding back and will be any were from 10th to 15th but the O is going to be well not good what so ever 6-10.

FAX 08-30-2007 09:22 PM

I said 4. I'm not certain why, though.

Maybe it's because that's how many clowns fit in a standard-sized clown car.

Yeah, maybe, I have no idea... it's hard to keep his carries down sometimes. I really don't know what to expect... I could see us being 12-4, or 4-12. I know Martyball's an ugly word, and for very good reason... but really we have a great RB, a QB who doesn't make mistakes, and a defense that could land in the top 10-12... that's the formula for Martyball'ing it to an ugly playoff birth. It wins regular season games.

I wish they would have let this QB and that defense you speak of play in the preseason.

I think we're gonna have a good defense, they didn't play that poorly in the preseason. The offense is definitely more of a concern... hopefully they don't hang the D out to dry every week.

This is what happens when you rebuild. It's not going to be pretty.

luv 08-30-2007 09:32 PM

Didn't you know? Preseason doesn't matter. :p

ChiefEd 08-30-2007 09:36 PM

9, simply because the D looks solid. They'll wins us at least 4 themselves. LJ's good for the other 5...

Wildcard birth, and another embarrasing loss. Unless Sippio pans out, then we're going to Glendale, Baby!

dj56dt58 08-30-2007 09:36 PM

I don't see how we can win a game with this offensive line. Mcintosh had better be pretty ****ing good or we're pretty ****ing ****ed

KcMizzou 08-30-2007 09:38 PM

Concerning the O-line...

How long did the starters play? It seemed to me that the whole interior was backups by the 2nd series. I could be wrong...

TEX 08-30-2007 10:25 PM

I'm sticking with 5.

No way. The kicking game is horrible. If you run the ball and play defense, you need a good kicking game. We don't have one.

wazu 08-30-2007 10:28 PM

I layed it all on the line. My vote is counted, and visible to all. Good night.

I presume this is regular season only? Or should I count the playoffs and Super Bowl, too?

KCJohnny 08-30-2007 10:43 PM

We will win 7 home games and at least 2 road games. We could be 11-5.

WilliamTheIrish 08-30-2007 10:44 PM

Six. We suck.

'Hamas' Jenkins 08-30-2007 11:00 PM

Sticking with my original prediction of 5

Phobia 08-30-2007 11:01 PM

Where is the zero option?

Sam Hall 08-30-2007 11:03 PM

That 1-5 start is going to hurt.

Bowser 08-30-2007 11:03 PM

Where's the 19 option?

kcchiefsus 08-30-2007 11:09 PM

4 wins. With that top 5 pick we get our franchise left tackle of the next 10 or more years with Jake Long or Sam Baker, preferably Long though.

listopencil 08-30-2007 11:12 PM

7

alanm 08-30-2007 11:37 PM

I'll say it before anyone else says it. You didn't have 0 as a option. :D

I'm beginning to think my previous selection of 6 wins is looking rather optimistic at this point.
