Wow. Thank you for that.

Hootie 09-23-2007 11:13 PM

Interesting...Denver is #3 and #6 and I honestly think they might be the worst AFCW team...

Smed1065 09-23-2007 11:15 PM

Their home field advantage went to sh-t.

So do I. And they play @Indy & Sandy Eggo next. They'll be battling us for the AFCW cellar.

Frazod 09-23-2007 11:17 PM

How the fuck are the Nags ranked that high? :spock:

L.A. Chieffan 09-23-2007 11:18 PM

They played Buffalo and Oakland

KC's defense is #4!?

Yardage or scoring? That's fantastic.

BigRock 09-23-2007 11:55 PM

3 games or not, Oakland being ranked that high in offense is pretty impressive coming out of that whole Art Shell bed & breakfast traveshamockery.

Holy poop, it's yardage.

This can very much be a Top 10 D.

They're tied for 9th in scoring. Also good.

Al Davis gave Kid Kiffin free reign... way more than he gave Gruden. And Kiffin tore up that operation from top to bottom. Its a whole new ballgame in Oaktown - we'll stumble around a bit before we find our footing.... but Oakland is fixin to be an NFL-caliber team right quick...

If you just consider the points defenses have given up, not including special teams and fumble/INT returns for TDs, KC is 4th there as well.

We are also tied for 4th in sacks.

Lamont Jordan has been tearing it up. Lots of people would say Henry has been the best AFC-W RB so well, but Jordan is actually scoring TDs.

Mile High Mania 09-24-2007 05:13 AM

Denver's run defense has been horrific, but outside of that they're ok right now and haven't been bad on offense.

StcChief 09-24-2007 05:26 AM

Donxs aren't impressive at all.

Oakland has improved

SD maybe slow, too much firepower to keep them down long.

Chiefs are work in progress. D looks solid.

Mile High Mania 09-24-2007 06:13 AM

I dunno, the Broncos' run defense (as said before is horrible), but offensively... they're young (Cutler, Marshall) and new (Stokely, Graham, Henry)... but they're moving the ball pretty well. I think the offense is making nice progress through 3 weeks and looks to be a force before too long.

Defensively, way more farce that force at this point... but, any team in the AFC not from NE or Indy is really a bit of a moot point though at this time.

The AFCW isn't looking all that tough right now, but we'll see.

I guess our game plan will be to air it out in that game then. God forbid that we should game plan to attack our opponents weakness.

Its the Denver ankle-diving knee-crackin' ZBS that we're running. Basically the same personnel on the O-line that was the joke of the NFL last year. Same players, different scheme. The secret to Denver's perennial running prowess is out: When defenders are hopping around the field trying to aviod having their knees destroyed, you can run by them.

Oakland is the #3 rushing team in the league.... either we learn fast, or threatening someone's ligaments just comes easy to us....

Reerun_KC 09-24-2007 07:45 AM

Well at least our offense is on track....

We havent disappointed there...

We've got a tough schedule. 10-6 might win the AFCW this year...

Say what u want but the man's got balls. If the TE holds onto that excellent pass, it's a different game. I thought for sure Denver would pull it out when Jax opted to kick 2 FG's from inside the 10.

I thought it was insanity, but it nearly worked out... the ball was put right where Graham needed it to be and he failed.

Denver has huge issues stopping the run and getting to the QB... not really shocking to anyone. I've read a lot of things about Cutler needing to improve, but the guy looked solid often and their offense was only on the field 3 times in the first half. At the 7 minute mark in the 3rd quarter... the offense had only 11 minutes on the field.

That's insane and points to the defense sucking balls.

I like what I'm seeing from the receivers, but this defense is killing them.
