Gary Pinkel has been a friend of my family since 1972 and '73 when he was just a kid.

I'll always back the tight end out of Kent State.

I was just curious, being its an 8:15 kickoff. When do you think the tailgating will start. I think by 8:15 some fans won't be able to find the stadium.

Spott 10-06-2007 08:07 AM

Piss on Nebraska and that illegal kicking of a forward pass B.S.

Mizzou 48
Nebraska 3

Bowser 10-06-2007 08:18 AM

Never mind the illegal kick. How in the **** did we let Scott Freaking Frost pass it all the way down the field?

52-45. I'm not sure who will score more. Both defenses suck.

Heh, that game was a classic though.

HA, I was thinking the same thing.

Mizzou is going to roll over the bugeaters by at least two scores.

Using the phrase "Mr. Towne, your tapioca is here" does the trick, as well.

eazyb81 10-06-2007 09:36 AM

I know Husker fans like to live in the past, but at least go with some smack that happened this decade.

Try this clip out - it should get you ready for today's game:

I don't think I've ever been more excited/pumped/worried about a MU game.

The waiting is the hardest part.

SPchief 10-06-2007 03:12 PM

I'm off to work. Hopefully I'll be off in time to see the clock strike zero with the Huskers ahead.

HEY HAPPY SOCKS! YOU CALL THAT A HEDGE?

KChiefs1 10-06-2007 03:37 PM

I wonder how many minutes we'll miss of the game on ESPN...Virginia Tech vs Clemson is the game on right before Mizzou vs Nebraska so I'm willing to bet that we miss at least 1/2 of the first quarter.

Yeah I was wondering about that myself. They didn't allow any cushion at all between the games.

I'm a lifelong Mizzou guy so I'm expecting the Tigers to sh#$ in their helmets like they do for all big games.

Hope I'm wrong.

Traditionally, this is about when they'd do it.

I'm a sucker though... I'm excited.

I'm surprised you even consider this a big game. It's against a barely ranked team that's only a couple plays away from being 2-3.

I hope none of our players feel that way. I think KSU got caught up in that a little today.

Maclin's going to wear out his cleats by halftime, running up and down the field on the pink shirts.

The only reason Lucky won't do the same is because Keller will be too busy torching the Mizzou secondary.

Maclin's a WR/KR.

I realized after I typed that, that I made him sound like a running back.

(He really is something else. Last I knew, he was leading the nation in all purpose yardage)

Eh, I knew he wasn't your RB, I was too lazy to look up who he was so used our RB for an example. I'm reaching for my smack as it is so bear with me please.

Neither of these teams look very good to me. Their coaches are too skinny.

C'mon man, Mizzou-Nebraska? For a kid who grew up in Columbia, it's always a big game.

I know the feeling. It always seems to happen on Big Monday during basketball season as well.

Well that didn't affect them the last two times NU was down there. This should really be one of the games Mizzou fans should be the most confident about. I haven't seen NU's defense this bad since 2002, and Callahan's teams have never been good road teams.

I kinda like both of these coaches. Maybe just a massive earthquake.

Less than 25 min to kickoff, and Va tech/Clemson is still in the 3rd qtr of a blowout.

You'd think that it'll get switched for all those in local markets.

Crap, Clemson scored, forced a punt and has good FP. They'd better not come back and make a game of this.

Bugeater 10-06-2007 07:10 PM

Just heard on the radio the "official" kickoff isn't until 8:25.

Dartgod 10-06-2007 07:15 PM

Clemson just screwed themselves out of a TD...lol

Frazod 10-06-2007 07:16 PM

Well, Clemson just shat themselves on 4th and 3 and turned the ball over.

Should be nothing to see there. Switch the game, dammit!

Bob Dole 10-06-2007 07:17 PM

No indication that the ****wits are going to switch games.

Frazod 10-06-2007 07:24 PM

Bastards. Three possession lead and they STILL aren't switching over.

Dartgod 10-06-2007 07:27 PM

I don't think it's started yet. Anyone listening on radio?

Yeah.... they won't do that. Every time I want to see the Jayhawks on Big Monday and the game before it is a blowout they stay with the blowout until its over. ESPN doesn't like cutting away from games until the clock hits zero unless you live in the local markets. And after the clock strikes zero they have to get a full set of commercials in first before switching.
