Ignore the guy that posts full-length downloads of Chiefs games. BRILLIANT!!!

Simplex3 10-09-2007 12:17 AM

It's by no means bulletproof yet, but it DOES remove threads by posters you have in the iggy list at the top of the script. This doesn't work in conjunction with the CP iggy function, it is a replacement for it.

|Zach| 10-09-2007 12:18 AM

GreaseMonkey is cool as hell.

TinyEvel 10-09-2007 12:18 AM

Is there any way you can insert a set of nice titties in the place of the offending post?

I believe if you take a cursory look through that script you'll notice the people in my list.

Luv, what's the story about someone jacking off in the back seat of your car??

I know it hurts, but we have to move on and the only way were gonna do than is to go out in the mean cold world all by ourselves and cap our own video. Maybe even observe a few copyright laws while were at it. Life is full of difficult choices, alas.

teedubya 10-09-2007 12:42 AM

where exactly do you install the code? Do i need to save it as a javascript? and upload it to my server and then install it from there or what? I see no place to insert the code.

Im getting rid of the trash!

Give me a bit. I have the rep list fixed and I just need to fix up the posts and quoted text. As soon as I get that done I'll put it up on a web site and provide a url so that people with GreaseMonkey can just click an "Install" button.

teedubya 10-09-2007 12:48 AM

I've uploaded a patched version of the script that correctly handles the threads in sub-forums. There's some wackiness in how those are treated due to the sub-forum stuff going on only for the Lounge.

Carry on.

Ah, I see. I thought you were going for "so many victims, so little time". You were going for "taking control of your own online experience = being a victim". Sorry I missed it.

Some of us would like a board uncluttered by severe reerunation. It will help everyone. Those of us that don't want to see GOATSE, Hootie, etc, don't have to. In turn those people won't be getting nearly as much guff from the people they annoy and they'll be happier too. It's a win-win. I embrace it.

Small stuff? Sure it is. But what's wrong with eliminating even small annoyances from your life if you have the chance? The whole board can be a happier place.

Simplex for President.

Stevie had to be put in the "no politics" group on Chiefsplanet because he can't handle NOT CLICKING the Washington DC link. I wouldn't take him seriously on this one.

Thanks for the hard work, Simplex, even if you are a freaking open source tool :P

*** Updated Version ***
There is an updated version as of 1:45pm CT today. This new version adds the following functionality:

* Posts and Quoted posts remain hidden
* They now have a link header that when clicked it will show the "offending" post or quote. Clicking the link again will re-hide it.

I will update the thread starter soon.

Hootie 10-09-2007 12:51 PM

Have you tried the new version?

Hootie 10-09-2007 01:01 PM

Cool, Simplex built in a way where he can still see all of our posts...so I'm back on fake ignore! Niiiice.

Simplex3 10-09-2007 01:28 PM

I would like to get some feedback on whether or not people like the ability to click through and see the blocked items. I thought this might be better in the rare instance where you thought to yourself "how does THAT make any sense?"

Hootie 10-09-2007 01:29 PM

ATTENTION WHORE

Simplex3 10-09-2007 01:30 PM

...I'm just guessing here, but with two posts on this page is Pouty starting to feel like he isn't getting enough attention?

Get used to it.

It helps me because I need to be able to see Hootie's posts in the gambling thread.

That's the only reason he wasn't on ignore already. This feature is awesome. Thanks!

Hootie 10-09-2007 01:31 PM
