The Power button for my 19'' flat screen monitor stops working

Friday

I get a new monitor and my PC crashes..but I install xp cd and fix the problems in safe mode 4 hours later.

Saturday

I almost get killed by a car that crossed over the median on state highway 18 and crashed into a bunch of trees. (had it not been for the trees I would have bought the farm)

After escaping certain death, a car's tire in front of me unleashes a rock at eleventy billion MPH and cracks my windshield.

And now the server has crashed at JetNation

So, should I remain home the rest of the weekend?

Or should I go out and act like nothing happened?

I stopped at the liquor store once I got close to home and stocked up. then in between the liquor store and my house is my local watering hole. so I proceeded to have two pints of kettle one and club soda before I headed home and made this thread.

He sucks, he was manhandled a couple of weeks ago by Brian Westbrook of the Eagles. he's like a pinata, he bounces all over the place and gets nothing accomplished. watch for David Harris, he's the real deal.

I got into a bad car wreck, and the very next day, while driving my mom's car, A car right in front of me got T-Boned by a car that ran a red light.

Speaking of Pennington, he launched a perfect spiral of a bomb last week...i believe it went for a TD.

His arm is a bit underrated IMO.

Bomb does not equal arm. Velocity = arm.

I didnt say that a big arm was one of his strengths, i said his arm is a bit underrated.

It seems that when he can get his body into a throw, he can zip it downfield pretty good...the bomb i referred to got there in a hurry, hit his guy in stride & was a beautiful spiral.

A great arm can make that throw without the benefit of a full, legs to shoulders motion.

Guys like Chad & Damon dont have that, but can get by when they have time to get behind it.

I'd even rather have Chads arm than Damons.

You're nuts. Damon's arm gets a bad rap around here. It was better than Green's last year and it's certainly better than Penny's.

No problem, but i know what i watched & Pennys arm looked to be every bit as good if not better.

I cant shake the feeling that GC went ahead & looked at clips of Huard throws vs. Pennington throws & came away with the distinct impression, that there was no point in arguing.

Huard arm = Pennington arm, in fact...Penny by a hair.

Sorry, I haven't replied because I can't find video of Penny's throw at the moment. NFL.com's video site is down or something.

Penny lacks the velocity on his intermediate throws that Huard has displayed. There's been several 20-25 yards throws over the middle that Huard has made this year that Pennington would have no hope of making.

And I'd love to see what Huard could do with a receiver like Lav Coles.

Pennington is horrible, absolutely horrible. he can't stretch the field with intermediate passes and the defense knows it. opponents jump routes and have no respect for anything over 10-15 yards past the LOS.

Okay, looks like i've painted myself into Minority Corner here...i (literally & figuratively) do my best work from a backed in corner.

Someone please, provide visual proof of Chad throwing a weaker long ball than Damon...someone please, tell me that they have seen Huard throw a better bomb, than the one Penny threw last week.

I realize both camps are fed up with noodle armed QB play, but all i ask for, is proof that one is better than the other.

Pennington needs a hop skip and a jump to throw the ball on intermediate routes (15-30yards), as where almost every other NFL QB just flicks his wrists to do that.

Yeah, he can throw a nice bomb. but he can't do what's necessary to stretch the field. the Ravens defense showed more respect for Kellen Clemens in week 2 than the Bills defense showed for Pennington the following week. they crowd the LOS and play the receivers tight (which gets them killed), and the db's constantly jump the routes. it's horrible.

I'd have to see Pennington's bomb. It was 57 yards, so I'm not even sure how far he actually threw it.

Alright, you watch the guy a lot more, i'll take your word that his intermediate stuff is a bit weaker.

But it seems like theres a feeling that Huard is Leaps & Bounds ahead of him overall...its just not true IMO.

If one of the stat masters around here crunched their numbers, i'd bet that theres very little difference overall.

Ones better at this, the other better at that. Truth be told, both sides are deathly sick of limited QB play.

He's not leaps and bounds better than him. He's slightly better than him. Pennington is more nimble in the pocket and reads defenses better.

Well here's my favorite "HUARD ROX" stat for year - he converst 64 percent of his third down opportunities on 3rd and 3-7 yards.

Pennington comes in at 47.1 percent.

Pennington is not ''nimble''. he's very ''immobile''. he missed Coles wide open in the end zone last week on a pass he threw too quick because he felt pressure that was not there. his pocket presence sucks also.

He has good footwork. Huard's pretty slow-footed, unfortunately.

How much does TG affect Huards 3rd down performance???...not that it isnt great, but i bet a HOF TE would affect Chads #'s to.

Nonetheless, a reasoned post...you should take Pootie (a young you) under your wing & school him in the proper way of crafting an argument that doesnt make people hate him.

Chad has a better offensive line, better receiving corps...evens out.

I was gonna let that slide...until i looked at the Jets O line...Ferguson isnt living up to the hype...at this point no better than Mac, Mangold < Waters & the rest are just a bunch of guys like us.

The WR's, yeah, i'd give a VERY slight edge there...but not much.
