Is it time to pull Wiegman?

I was watching the game Sunday and just couldn't help but yelling everytime he under threw the long snap. I know this will probably give the Huard boys some ammo, but it defintely doesn't help either Brodie or Damint if he can't get them the ball. Especially in the shotgun formation since LJ is currently out for an unknown amount of time.

morphius 11-06-2007 11:03 AM

Well, he is a pulling center. Of course I only really noticed that one low snap, none of the others stuck out to me.

Sully 11-06-2007 11:04 AM

If LJ was in there, I'd say absolutely...

However, let's wait and see how the playcalling is altered with Priest in the backfield. If they playcall to his strength, running zone plays, or running behind pulling linemen, Weigmann is more suited to that style, and had a GREAT play on LJ's screen TD last week.

He's a decent center so long as you don't force the square peg in the round hole; much like we're doing.

Deberg_1990 11-06-2007 11:07 AM

Its time to pull alot of scrubs.

Mr. Laz 11-06-2007 11:14 AM

apparently Niswanger is already gonna play for welbourn at guard ........ so i don't know who would replace Wiegmann.

MOhillbilly 11-06-2007 11:17 AM

Yes. Pull him to the right. Pull him to the left. Put Boomer and Priest behind him and gain some friggin' yards for a change.

It was great to see Weigmann use a burst of speed to stay ahead of LJ and blow the **** out of the potential tackler. That definitely put a smile on my face.

Speaking of The Dumbest Coach Of All Times, which KC radio station broadcasts his press conference? Anyone know off hand?

Regarding Casey...

If he's pullin', don't pull 'im. If he's not pullin', pull 'im.

It seemed like I saw a couple of them. Damint had to drop down a couple of times to pick it up. Of course it could also be him just not catching the snap. :hmmm:

Boy howdy did it ever. I had to watch that run a couple times just to watch CW blow that dude up. PRICELESS.

Turley is far better than Chris Terry.

Turley at least is smart, old, weak, and slow, versus Terry being just old, weak, and slow.

You know, Hermoine talks a lot about employing schemes and tactics that take advantage of his players' dominant skills. It's funny that we don't pull linemen as much anymore. Just another example of the Solari Paradox at work.

Niswanger and Turley is a better combination than Welbourn and Terry. Welbourn is the weakest link IMO.

I know Herm mentioned during today's presser that Niswanger got in there, but I didn't notice.

When did he replace Welbourne?

Valiant 11-06-2007 03:05 PM

No we just need to tell Herm to chance the blocking scheme.. From the start of the season they should have known we do not have the meat to be that physical of a team..

We need to employ the Denver scheme with these players unless he is getting us an entire new line next year..

I could only listen to the game via the miracle of radio, Mr. tomahawk kid, but I seem to recall the switch was made for only a series (possibly two). I got the impression that Welbourn had, perhaps, developed a cramp or something.
