Got my gf that dell laptop earlier, she has needed a laptop forever, still using her 2005 desktop vaio.

007 11-19-2007 11:47 PM

I wonder if Circuit City will allow people to buy at those prices online again this year?

kcpasco 11-20-2007 12:26 AM

I need to get with the times and buy an HD TV.

Hoping to find a steal because I'm a cheap bastard.

;)

kcxiv 11-20-2007 12:31 AM

I want a damn laptop. Thinking of getting one. I just dont know about having to wait in line at 5am or some stupid time.

for the room i have a little 32inch HDTV Olevia paid 500 for it. Its an awesome tv. If your looking for a big family one, they go up a little bit more.

kcpasco 11-20-2007 12:34 AM

I'm thinking about a 40" one. If I can find one around 800 bucks I'll be happy.

irishjayhawk 11-20-2007 12:34 AM

Hmmm, hiding stuff to buy on Friday....hmmmm.

Good plan.

And man are there some good deals.

I just got a 26" LCD HDTV from Walmart for less than $400. Check them out, they have good prices. The one I got was RCA, but shit for under four hundo, it was the right price.

You should have no problem finding a 42" for $800.

That looks like a hell of a deal if you are looking for a basic laptop. 1 GB of ram might will be a bit rough with vista but easy enough to upgrade later on.

Yeah, or you could get the XP version and it will run great. Depends on the needs but it's a hell of a deal for those that just write, do hw, burn, play on the internet and do light games. That's why i got it for my gf, i'll def. look for more power down the line, not sure if i'd still get Vista unless i have to.

I got a refurb Vizio from Tiger Direct a few months ago. It is a 42" LCD and I paid $700 plus shipping for it. Even after I bought the 5 year extended warranted from Vizio's site, it was still under $900. Keep an eye on TD or Newegg.com for good deals.

Bonus DoorBusters at Best Buy

I don't know if these are listed anywhere else.

Other DoorBusters at Best Buy

Those should be in the advertisment.

Also, it looks like Best Buy is doing some sort of Ticket System. They did the same thing when I waited for the PS2 release. I wonder how ****ing chaotic it will be when there are multiple items to choose from and hundreds of tickets.

edit: Starting at 3 a.m., with the front of the line, employees will hand out tickets to customers for Doorbuster and Bonus Doorbuster products (these are the front cover and BestBuy.com limited-quantity items, excluding CDs, DVDs and video game software).

The tickets, limited to 1 ticket per customer per item, will grant you the ability to buy the Doorbuster items.

--- stay in line for a few hours and get the tickets around 3:30. Take a nap and enter the store at 5 AM. You are guaranteed the product.

Does TD and Newegg run Black Friday specials? I'm really thinking about buying my first LCD HDTV. Walmart has a 42" Polaroid listed for $798

No problem, its a decent laptop, and a pretty good deal if you dont add anything other than an extra battery or upgrade it through dell.

I wasn't real impressed with Polaroid. And no, TD and NE don't do Black Friday specials as far as I know. They always have great deals. ;)

Haven't seen one in any ads. I'm talking about an LCD monitor, not a TV.

I just realized Circuit City's 24" LCD comes with a REBATE...so screw that. Off to Best Buy.

Looks like I'll be spending Thursday night in their parking lot.

Damn kids :banghead: Wish they had never found out about x-mas. Who came up with this whole presents / x-mas thing anyways ?
