Whö wöüld yöü have Replace Carl Petersück at GM?
We all want a new GM. Whö wöüld yöü hire if yöü were Clark Hünt?
|
Whoever is the right hand man to Scott Pioli.
|
Guy from Patriots (I dunno who... thejanitor for all I care).
Schottenheimer. Hell... I really don't know. |
Marty
|
This franchise is never going to win anything. I think we'll have to force them to move out of Kansas City. Maybe we can get the Texans to move up and replace the Chiefs again. It seemed to work the first time.
|
I agree with The Bad Guy...
someone from a winning franchise and attitude. Absolutely no one from the Carl/Marty bush... We have had enough of that. |
My left nut wouldn't do much worse...
|
It's because we didn't get the rolling roof.
|
Anyone not involved with the Chiefs right now.
|
Hire Marty as GM and get out of his way.
|
I don't know. A young creative mind who has a fairly solid background in player personnel.

This thread is woody worthy

That older skinny guy who runs around Arrowhead before the games. He wears superman tights and a cape that says something about Jesus.

thanks but no ****ing thanks to Marty... Time to clean house and build for a new future! |
I say we hire Claytön Wendler. He wöüld be great.
|
I would offer the position to Floyd Reese. Works the cap like nobody's business. Understands the game. Good PR guy. Unafraid to do what it takes to win.

I know that most feel that Carl is the problem.
The problem in KC is not a one man show. 'the Hermit' is the biggest joke in the NFL. Our OC, if responsible for our game plans, is another joke (I think he is manipulated by the puppetmaster Hermit) We have no QB coach, we have no O-Line Coach, we have .. I could go on and on here, but you get the point. Gunther is OK, but his time is past as well. If we are going to improve the team we need to clean house and in cleaning house we have to have a new GM. As long as 'the Hermit' resides in KC we are screwed totally. |
I wöüld want sömeöne whö püts thöse little döts över all öf their Os and Us.
|
Knowing this team......
It'll be Denny Thum or some other Carl lackey as Carl just moves onto being president and it's more of the same.. They need a total cleanout job but it's just so not this franchise. |

Watch your language Grandpa, he is also one of the worst playoff coaches ever as well.. So you S_T_F_U! |
Any bum off the street would be a step up.

You're a dumbass, old man. How did Marty do last year with the most talented roster in the NFL (which of course, he didn NOT assemble)? He was FIRED for his meddling. He went to the Spanos family and the Spanos family fired HIM instead of A.J. Smith. IF Lamar Hunt would have fired Marty before the 1998 season, the Chiefs may have had a very different season. San Diego was WISE to not make the same mistake, regardless of this season's outcome. |

Another way to prove that ignorance is bliss. That is just stupid lady. |

Then why hasn't ANY team EVER hired him to be a GM and why has he ALWAYS been fired over personnel reasons? Cleveland: Personnel KC: He left of his own volition due to the decisions to sign thugs. Redskins: Personnel struggles with Cerrato and Snyder San Diego: Personnel clashes with A.J. Smith. If he's SOOOOOOOO freaking great, OLD MAN RIVER, why hasn't ANY NFL team hired him? Take your Geritol and go to bed. |

You're the biggest dumbass in Chiefsplanet history. And probably, the most hated. Well beyond me. |
Hermit has got to be a nickname

Yes it is he's the douchebag who hired these fuckTARDS |

I like Reese because he knows the game and has the proven ability to do what it takes to win. Plus, he's a good cap guy - although it should also be said that he took the Tacks into cap hell on their route to the Super Bowl, so that's a bit of a concern, I suppose. But, at least, he got them there. FAX |

Clark Kent resigned him, so is he blameless??? :harumph: |

I've tried not to say this but you really are an asshole. |

You advocated that he be hired as GM. TWO DIFFERENT JOBS. TWO DIFFERENT SKILL SETS. I put that in caps so you won't need your reading glasses. Nice rebuttal, BTW. COMPLETELY ignore the subject. |
Whatever happened to Ron Wolf??
Id love to get that guy to come out of retirement. But im with Mecca, once Carl is gone, they probably promote from within. Its been that way forever with this organization. Ironically the one time they did "think outside the box" they hired a young Carl Peterson to clean house. |
Quote:
This would be a very good starting point... :) |
I could live with Carl as GM, handling the FO BS.Just the business side, no players evaluations.
Herm as talent scout, in charge of bring in the talent. Marty as HC ..... Cam Cameron might be gone in Miami....... OC ? Keep Gun as DC ........ As for ST's coach ......... Mazlowski ? I dunno ....... |

OMG, what am I going to do? Dane Mcbundle of sticks hates me! OOOO MMMMMMYYYYY |

Why is it that the most unintelligent posters resort to "gay" comments when they're confronted? Personal problem? |

So what you are saying is that by proxy we have to fire Clark Hunt. |
Buddy Nix, AJ's secret weapon here in San Diego.

And you are what?? |

The blame still lies with Carl for RECOMMENDING our moronic head coaches. He opened the door for their entrance into the organization. If the Hunts had not trusted Carl's judgment, we wouldn't be sitting here discussing how horrible this franchise is right now. |
Quote:
Just because I would rather the Chiefs clean house and remove the stench of Carl/Marty/DV/Gunther/etc, that to wallow in another era with the same results? Then move over, cause I need that spot on the tard cart. Dont lose all credibility by siding with Baby Lee... Your better than that... |

Oh my god, how will I live with myself? I dont have enough credibility on an internet message board. How can I sustain life itself? The message board bullies are going to beat up my posts... Oh the irony... Actually Skippy, I could really careless... Its a freaking message board for god sakes! |

The main reason Marty was fired from Cleveland for refusing to hire an offensive coordinator. Lindy Infante left for Green Bay and Marty took over the offensive play calling duties. He refused to give them up and was fired by Modell. There were personnel issues involved as well but they weren't as pressing as his refusal to hire an O.C. Quote:
Quote:
Again, isn't this what I stated????? HELLO? Quote:
THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I STATED. Regardless, from what I've been told, the Spanos family is happy to be rid of the Schottenheimers. Even if the Chargers lose in the first round again, they're rid of Marty, his family and their meddling. The Chargers will make the playoffs again and at least there's harmony in the front office. Quote:
Marty hasn't ever proved anything from a personnel standpoint. His draft partnership with Carl Peterson never yielded an NFL starting QB, RB, WR, DT or LB. How can a potential GM not get lucky with all of those first day drafts? Especially, if it's as you say "closely related"? Quote:
|
Floyd Reese is a horrendous GM. The entire reason they ended up with that Pac Man pick is because he put them in cap hell, and afterwards, didn't get them enough talent to emerge on the other side.
They are now as they were before...mediocre with a mobile QB who has shit for brains. |
We don't need retread GM's just like we don't need retread QB's.

Ummm don't feel bad, I'm a NOOB even after being here for 6 years ROFL I guess post whores and holier than thou ppl that live in Hollywood are the REAL experts and opinions from here mean squat. I still like to vent here from time to time...You are still an asshole Dane, and my opinion comes from reading a lot of your condescending posts ;) |

Just a question that I don't feel like searching for unless I have too. How did those teams turn out after Marty left due to the personel conflicts?

This season has made me bitter. Not bitter with the coaching staff or the Front office (that ship sailed a long time ago and isn't worth my time), but I'm more bitter at the FANS. I thought we all knew this was coming and it's disheartening to know that Peterson has always been right: The fans of Kansas City can't stomach a true rebuild. |
Quote:
Oh yeah, there's no way you can mount a rebuttal. Get your oldass to bed. |

Shouldn't a rebuild involve seeing progress from young players.......I'm watching guys either not progress or get worse.

But check this out ... from that wiki place ... not a bad drafting history overall ... "From 1999 - 2006, Reese was 3rd in the league in draft choices that remain playing in the NFL and 7th in the NFL in draft choices remaining on the Titans' roster. Since 1997, Reese brought the Titans to one Super Bowl, two AFC Championships, 2 divisional championships, 4 playoff appearances, and a 5-4 playoff record. He also had two 13-3 seasons and four 11+ win seasons. Reese had a league-high 56 wins from 1999-2003." FAX |

Personaly I've been ready for a " rebuild " for 10 years :( But they NEVER cleaned house so it is a half assed rebuild. Then they start a 34 year old BU Qb so im just as frustrated as anyone would be. I would like to believe we are headed the right way but I can't even say that at this point. :banghead: :banghead: |
Bring him in!

AMEN! |

I just don't think that Carl Peterson is as dumb as the fans contend. I think he hired Herm to oversee a complete reconstruction of the roster, both offense and defense. And since the defense had more young talent, they've chosen to start with that segment of the team. But all in all, we're all frustrated. And worn out. And tired of an inferior product. And it's showing on the forum. |

Your posts consist of blaming Herm Edwards, blaming Carl Peterson and agreeing with anyone who criticizes the Chiefs coaching staff and front office. There's not an original thought in your brain. And if there is, I've seen no evidence from your 11,000 postings. They're all irrelevant. |
