T.O has a message for Jessica Simpson

T.O. to Jessica Simpson: Back off my QB
Associated Press, Updated 2 minutes ago STORY TOOLS:

IRVING, Texas (AP) - Terrell Owens has a message for Jessica Simpson: Stay away.

Simpson has become Public Enemy No. 1 among Dallas Cowboys fans because of a link being made between her appearance at Sunday's game and the poor performance of her new boyfriend, quarterback Tony Romo.
"Right now, Jessica Simpson is not a fan favorite — in this locker room or in Texas Stadium," Owens said Wednesday.

The Cowboys lost 10-6 to the Philadelphia Eagles and Romo had what was statistically the worst game of his career, all while Simpson sat in a luxury box wearing a pink No. 9 jersey she proudly showed off for television cameras.

The problem for her is, Romo's previous worst game came last December at home to the Eagles when then-girlfriend Carrie Underwood was in attendance.

"With everything that has happened, obviously with the way Tony played and the comparison between her and Carrie Underwood, I think a lot of people feel she has taken his focus away," Owens said, echoing the chatter on sports-talk radio and blogs. "Other than that, she was high on my list until last week.

"Oh, I got a message for her when we make the playoffs. Just stay tuned."

So the secret to beating Dallas is to buy Romo a cheap whore to use the week before a game?

RustShack 12-19-2007 03:00 PM

I hope she cheats on him with Owens.

I used to have a player on my pool team that was like this. Played great when it was just him, but when his g/f was there, bad news.

StcChief 12-19-2007 03:04 PM

TO can't have another Cowgirl distraction besides himself.

memyselfI 12-19-2007 03:05 PM

Of all the reasons to hate Jessica Simpson, the Cowboys sucking shouldn't be one of them.

Yes, for you it should be because she is younger, better looking, richer, and far, far more successful than you.

Duck Dog 12-19-2007 03:24 PM

I was set to win my fantasy league with Romo and TO. That little bitch blew it! And so did Jessica!

:banghead: :cuss: :#

What are these reasons, other than the fact your hubby probably tugs one off daily thinking about her?

My husband thinks she looks like bleached trailer trash. He doesn't find her inviting like you probably do...

Other reasons? Well, she can't sing or act are two good ones.

The NFL is becoming more like the National Enquirer every year.

I saw the game. I did not realize Jessica was distracting Rome. Though i did notice he seemed to throw several balls right through/off the hands of TO. TO looked like Sammie Parker out there sunday.

Maybe TO should concentrate on catching balls that hit him in the hands instead of other players girl friends.

I bet TO is one of those guys who can never take responsibility for his mistakes. My roommate is like that. Nothing is ever his fault. Always full of excuses. God, does it get old.

I watched that game and didn't see it as TO's fault at all....Romo was def. off... I was wondering if anyone made the connection between simpson being there and his poor play

I saw several plays where the ball went through or bounced off TO's hands. He makes those plays he has room to point fingers. He didn't so he gets some blame for the loss.

FWIW, I don't think TO is quite the star he or the media thinks he is. When Dallas needs a play, they have to go to the TE just like the Chiefs.

Romo's lack of accuracy probably had more to do with his injured thumb than it did with anyone in the stands.

It probably was, but I"m superstitious!!!

And as far as TO, I don't like him, don't get me wrong, but I do think he's pretty damn good and of the times I saw Romo throw to him, it was just outside of his reach. But again, I doubt I saw every throw because I was doing the Sudoku at the same time!!

Bump 12-19-2007 05:36 PM

funny that TO is calling out a teammates girlfriend in the suite as a distraction???? lol

Since the Chiefs have been stinking so bad and the networks down here dropped them I've been watching the Cowboys every week. I'm not impressed with TO. He's a lot of talk, but he sure seems to just miss a lot of catches that a stud WR really needs to make. If you ask TO, he's the greatest that ever was. If you need a clutch catch, Whitten is the goto guy - TO isn't even the best on his team IMO.

kstater 12-19-2007 05:41 PM

Me thinks that a player that has a reputation for being a bad teammate and a distraction to the teams he plays for, should shut up about your quarterbacks' girlfriend and play ball. Good god TO your team is 12-2 and you are creating a distraction? Stupid.

He gets like that when he isn't getting the attention.

TO Calls out Garcia = Team explodes
TO Calls out McNabb = Team explodes
TO Calles out Romo = To be continued...

TO is second in the league in receiving. The Chiefs were dumb not to sign him two years ago.
