Pics of the new Knight Rider KITT car released
Gallery
Most of the images are too big to hotlink, but here's a sample: http://tinyurl.com/2x7dz3 The side scoops are a little cheesy and the double rear wing is teh ghey, but other than that it's kinda cool. Also judging by the comments the hardcore Knight Rider fans are pissed it's a Ford product. Not that it matters, I bet the show doesn't make it a full season anyway. Full story |
Is the voice of kit the same?
|
I kinda like it.

I don't like it... IMO KITT should be understated yet cool... not a flashy muscle car
|
how original!
 |
They replaced the cool car with that POS?

Pony boys won’t be laughing long when they have to face a Camaro with an LS-6 engine. :fire: |

I'm actually surprised it's not a Japanese hybrid with Rosie in the lead... |

I have no problem with the car, no problem with the cast, but I draw the line at KITT. William Daniels WAS that car, dammit. |

The original car was way over done and so is this Mustang. |
I sure hope nobody ever needs to ride in the back seat. :D

Hell, even Jeep took a hiatus from the Wrangler YJ until they came out with the Wrangler TJ a couple years later. Quote:
Motorcycle Drag Racing Buddy has a GTO with the 6.0L LS-2 engine so equipped and he’s already run on Z06 Corvettes. |

[QUOTE=Radar Chief]Every model has it’s ups and downs. Didn’t Ford quit making the Mustang for a little while in the late ‘70’s early ‘80’s? Seems like the Mustang II almost killed that model.
Hell, even Jeep took a hiatus from the Wrangler YJ until they came out with the Wrangler TJ a couple years later.QUOTE] Um no, it came close, but never went out of production. I believe in 80 and 81 the 302 was replaced with a 255 V8, but the 302 came back in 82. |

Still have respect for the Ponies though, even if I’m more of a bowtie guy. ;) |
They should not have disgraced the Mustang Cobra that way.
Should have been the new Camaro or something totally g@y like that, since the first one was a GM product. |

Personally, I’m ambivalent towards the Camaro, but I’ve been a Vette fan since I was like 7 y.o. and if that ugly azzed Camaro damages the Vette I’ll be pissed. |
So what is K.I.T.T. going to stand for now, since it originally stood for Knight Industries Two Thousand?
|
What a POS.

:whackit:
That was the stupidest show ever! "Michael my tires are low" "Michael I need an oil change" "Michael there's a bad guy" Michael - get a FUGGGIN LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Looks like Val Kilmer of all people is the new voice of KITT.
http://www.variety.com/article/VR111...id=14&cs=1&p=0 A carmaker conflict has caused NBC to hire Val Kilmer to replace Will Arnett as the voice of KITT on its "Knight Rider" revival. Arnett ("Arrested Development") had already completed his part for the pic, which is slated to debut on NBC in less than two weeks. Producers Doug Liman, Dave Bartis and Dave Andron -- along with the network and studio -- were all fine with his performance. Problem is, Arnett had a contractual conflict of interest. For the better part of a decade, Arnett has done voice-over work for General Motors -- as the voice of GMC Trucks. NBC's new "Knight," however, is "played" by a Ford Mustang. What's more, Ford isn't simply providing cars for "Knight Rider." It's taking an active role in the marketing and branding of the pic, a backdoor pilot for a possible series. Ford's logo even appears all over NBC's on-air promos for the pic. Not surprisingly, when GM found out about the Ford connection, it asked Arnett to pull out. "I was very excited at the prospect of playing the part of KITT in the new 'Knight Rider' movie," Arnett said. "However, because of a long relationship with General Motors as the voice of GMC Trucks, I had to respectfully withdraw from the project." While NBC and Universal Media Studios will have to scramble to replace Arnett's dialogue with Kilmer's work, the upside is landing a well-known name for the part. In addition to his roles in pics such as "Batman Forever," "Heat" and "Top Gun," Kilmer has done plenty of voice-over work, including the voice of Moses in 1998's "The Prince of Egypt." |
I'm intrigued. I wish they would have gone with Feeney for the voice, but GOB would have been cool as well. Kilmer?!?

I say the pilot |
This week on Knight Rider, KITT's going to have to become... a rapist!
|
The wheels are okay. I'm not wild about it. But I see how it could appeal to people who'd watch Michael Knight.
|
1st 10 minutes: worst re-make ever, and that's saying something with all the bad remakes.
|
This picture of KK looks better than the one on the commercials, OVERKILL
|
Wow. The original show wasn't all that good. This is going to be horrible.
