Steve Reed, of the Gaston Gazette, reports the Carolina Panthers released C Justin Hartwig Tuesday, March 11.

This is a big fella we could try at center 6'4 312

Too old and injury prone.

Draft pick or promote from within.

We don't draft centers, just long snappers.

No thanks.

Chiefs have 10 draft picks. Here is my guess how they pick. No particular order.

4 O-linemen

2 defensive linemen

3 defensive backs

1 QB

Carl won't do anything of significance in the FA market.

Justin Hartwig is significant?

Uh, we're talking about the Chiefs. There's got to be at least 1 FB and 1 TE.

Sorry, you forgot about the obligatory 18 year rule of drafting at least one Safety with the hopes of turning them into a PB Cornerback and recently, the Longsnapper turning into a QB crushing DE....

Hey we've been bringing in Dolphins cast off, I think the Panthers might be better off then them :p, I'm not big on Hartwig though.

Hartwig is the type of player you look at if he sits on the trash heap for a month or two. Wait and see what the draft brings, and if he's still aorund maybe we bring him in for competition.

Not someone we go out and compete to get IMO.

There's no UCLA kicker in the draft this year.
