What's the best tasting sandwich at Subway or Quiznos?

Mr. Goodcents is better than both, but Quiznos classic italian is by far better than anything subway can create. Also, Quiznos pepper bar and pepper sauce is tasty stuff.

What about Philly?

Pretty much everytime I go to subway I get a footlong tuna on honey oat bread with provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, black olive, pickles and sometimes onions, banana peppers or green peppers.

Never fails.

If I'm going for best-tasting I-crave-it-so-much sandwich it's probably the NY Steamer (pastrami, corned beef and cheese) from Firehouse.

If your answer to the OP is that you'd rather have the cheesesteak, then you'd be right. Fly it in from Philly.

Subway, Cold Cut Trio with lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, and spicy mustard. On white or wheat depending on my mood and always with American cheese.

Quizno's Prime Rib Ranchero. There's nothing at Subway that even comes close.

After eating at a togos or a quiznos, Subway is shit.

Planet/Yellow Sub puts both to shame.

I used to go to Subway because it next door to work. One day I went to Planet Sub, and a little while later Quiznos, and never went back to Subway.

Quiznos... I usually get the black angus steak, and the prime rib ranchero is very good, too.

Planet Sub... the most meat of the three. The Planet BBQ, roast beef, and buffalo chicken are all very good. The only one is Nebraska is in Lincoln, so that sucks.

Swt. Onion Chicken Teryiaki on HOat...I also used to like the Seafood and Crab...my friend who worked there called it the afterbirth sandwich.

I miss the hooray for tuesdays as well, the Meatball Marinara is the best with all the fixings plus banana peppers, spinach, carrots, and a few jalapenos. Toasted of course.

Best sandwich at Subway is the Chicken Teriyaki, but instead of Sweet Onion sauce, get their Hot Sauce. It is the best sandwich EVER.

Has anyone everheard of Jimmy Johns? I have a friend who is opening one up in the Grand Rapids area. I never heard of them until he told me. I looked it up the guy that started it was pretty smart.

Jimmy Johns is better than a Subway or Quiznos, but doesn't beat a Goodcents or Planet/Yellow Sub. Their claim to fame is fast and free delivery which goes over great with the office crowd. Their sandwiches are good, but nothing to brag about IMO.

I call it Quizway...

Subway isn't great fair, but you know what would make me go in there more? Because i am not picky make some premade subs. If you go into wall mart you can get a double footlong premade sitting there for you to swipe and leave for like 4:99 I don't like sitting there at subway if there is a line

Firehouse Subs blows em all away. I think they're just in GA and FL though, but I could be wrong.

As for Subway/Quiznos I like the spicy monterrey club, and want to try that ranchero prime rib. Subway one has to get the meatball if you don't want to be hungry in an hour.

I used to really like the meatball sub from Quiznos, but they apparently took it off of the menu. Bastiges.

I like the beach club on the whole wheat bread at JJ.

I'll guess that probably means that you like it.

It's about the only thing I'll eat there - not because I don't like anything else, but once I achieve perfection at a restaurant, why take chances with other choices?

I am 99.999999999% sure there is a Planet Sub around 180th & W Center Rd here in Omaha, although their website says otherwise. I suppose it's possible that it's already gone out of business.

Edit: Phone book lists it at 17392 W Center Rd. Not exactly in your neck of the woods though...

I love Sandwiches and for me, it all comes down to the quality of the bread. Subways bread is horrible. Doesnt matter what kind white, wheat or whatever.

true, for me it's the quality of the bread AND how much meat on the sandwich. A subway sub is just like eating bread & lettuce to me, I can't even taste the meat since they put about .02 oz's of it on there. I usually prefer just to make my own sandwiches though.

Yeah. It's ****ing awesome. It often makes the person behind the counter retch having to make it, but it's delicious.

They had Firehouse subs in NC when I lived there. ****ing outstanding shit.

Heh - I about lived in Togos during college. I loved their chili in a bread bowl.

No Quizno's around here but used to eat at Subway occasionally for a quick lunch. Spicy Italian was my favorite.

The Mr. Sub here was a lot better, though more $$$.

When the Jimmy Johns opened in this town, it was great. When they started letting high school kids run the joint, it went to shit.

I live in a town of 10,000 or so folks. I ordered a sub and when it failed to show up for an hour, I called and asked where the sandwiches were. They told me they took the order down wrong. I canceled and told them to forget my future business.

For people like me, who are trying to drop a few pounds, Subway is much better. I used to eat at Quiznos until I realized that Subway had healthier choices.

I stick with the Tijuana Taxi, Green Turkey or the Creamy Club. All are exceptional.

I just had the 6" Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki for lunch today. Really good, and only 380 calories with 5 grams of fat. :thumb:

Once you go jew deli you never go back. A nice brisket sandwich with 3 inches of meat on a kosher bun? Oh yeah. David's is the place I like best.
I like the Jew Yorker: 1/4 pound of brisket, 1/4 pound corned beef and coleslaw all piled together. A matza ball on the side oh yes.
