Could it be, that he is going up against the best defense ever, and they are tearing him up? Nahh, he just sucks.
I went back and watched the Patriots game a couple days ago, just to see what went wrong. I forgot Elvis threw that pass at the six yard line to Tony that ended the game. What an ignorant piece of s*!t. Glad he's the Raven's problem now. |
Not one snap did he spin around 270 degrees and run out of bounds! Wow!
|
Yawn
|
If one has an ax to grind and a soapbox to speak from its easy to string together a lowlight reel.
Wasn't Green and Weigman having snap problems early in camp? Didn't Green overthrow a receiver and get picked? Footage could easily be strung together that makes any QB look like an idiot. This is much ado about nothing. |
It isn't much ado about nothing...the fact is that this is being shown on a National Cable channel and it's happening to one of the most despised former Chiefs player ever....
Sure Green has has his problems...but we are the only ones who get to read about them and unless you're at TC...you don't get to see them... I loved Grbass...but since he's gone he's fair game for all sorts of fecal matter to be heaped upon him.... I love it...I can't believe he did that well.... |

Listen closely. The man is gone. What he does or doesn't do is irrelevant unless the Ravens play the Chiefs. His TC performance or lack thereof is not our business or concern. Give it up. The jihad is over. The horse is dead and buried. Stop beating it. In the name of all that is good, put down the chalice of bitterness and move on. I haven't heard this much whining from someone jilted since high school when a friend was dumped before prom night. Get over it gang. |
If it was Steve Bono we were ripping on, would you still be playing psychoanalyst?
|
LOL, I think you answered your own question there, Brock.
I would think you needed help, if you were posting a thread or two daily about Bono. He's gone too, the same argument would still apply. |
CKIN, bitter, me? Of course I am. Until the season starts....
Then I'll get to comment on how bad he does in regular season games...you are right of course, we should let this dog lie, but you know and I know it aint gonna happen... On the bright side the Grbastard posts have dropped considerably....:) |
I'm with ck_IN. Just let EG go. I wouldn't mind if I didn't have to hear or read another word about him. That is pretty funny how he kept making errors. Perhaps the pressure is getting to him. I thought he was over that.
|
Why the shrill defense of Grbac? If he is gone, the horse is dead, it is a non issue, time moves on, live and let live, etc...why does it bother people if his ineptitude is bantered about in a BB of his former team? KCTitus has said it best (and If I am misquoting I am sorry) when he said that Grbashers (like me) have an investment in his failure. That is true and when I see him trip over his feet, hit receivers in the feet, throw ints, and throw 3 feet behind his WR's on national TV I feel vindicated and so do my bashing brethren. When I see his Head Coach stop practice and tell the team that the offensive units (lead by Grbacs) effort is not acceptable I am heartened. The failures of Gannon, Rison, and Dale Carter are acceptable fodder for discussion without hesitation but be nice to Grbac? I am quite sure that if he leads Baltimore to the Superbowl 'Backers will be out in force to beat their own horses.
|
Nope, you got it right, MrBlond. :D
I guess then when folks during the next offseason post about Clinton's next affair we wont hear the staunch defenders come on the BB and shout those topics down because 'he's no longer president, why talk about him anymore', eh? |
Dudes, it was in the paper. Flanagan is the one doing the ripping. I brought it up because A) I think it is funny how Flanny keeps grinding an axe against people he doesn't like (also see Bob Boone) and B) it is, like it or not, a topic of interest on this board (the HBO special and Elvis have been discussed numerous times). This wasn't meant as a slam at Grbac, just an interesting tidbit from the local paper I thought some might want to read. If Grbac topics are not your thing, please skip the topic.
BTW, I still think he's going to have a very good year... |
KCTitus,
Do they even report Clinton affairs anymore? I think that falls under the "dog bites man" heading.:) |
Touche` :)
|
Hey Wolf, don't apologize...slam him and slam the MF hard!!!!!!!
BTW, I wonder how Elvis is feeling now that the Ravens don't have a running game? Probably thinks he's back in KC last year... |
People keep saying, "forget about Elvis, he's gone"
Does Elvis cut us the same slack? Hell no... EVERY interview he does he knocks on KC and KC fans. When he stops, I'll stop wishing him the worst... |
Ok ok guys,
I see your points. I guess the people who support EG when he was here want to be vindicated (i.e. he does well this season). That would be the only reason I would want to see him and/or B'more do well. If he does poorly this season, I'll have to say you guys were right. I'm just curious, where is this Flannigan article? I haven't seen it on the kcstar.com website. |
|
first, i have to admit, i laughed really hard when i saw the clip of the big E falling down.....couldnt help it
second, flannagan is the biggest tool ive ever seen hold a job in sportswriting.......i have never read an original thought in one of his columns, and have never seen him do anything but pile on.....my guess is he and elvis were secret lovers and jeffery got jilted when E moved to baltimore |
"Listen closely. The man is gone. What he does or doesn't do is irrelevant unless the Ravens play the Chiefs. His TC performance or lack thereof is not our business or concern. Give it up. The jihad is over. "
I CAN understand where you're comming from. I just disagree. I want Len Elliott to miss everything he kicks for the rest of his life, weather it be a football or dirty laundry. I want Neil Smith to retire because no one wants his services. I want Dale Carter to play poorly in EACH AND EVERY game he starts. WHy? Because they did not just leave, they either failed miserably when needed most or stepped all over Chiefs fans when they got the Chance. I will want Bono to fail in any football oriented career for the rest of his life. I hold a grudge... Neil Smith saying "It's great to finally be playing for the good guys" after a Broncos win erases for me anything he did in a red and gold uniform. That's just despicable. He takes out an add in the KC Star to let the fans know he loves KC, it's just a part of football. Then he lets the fans know that he never really did think of us "as the good guys." I hope Grbaby trips each time he tries to put one foot in front of the other. I was a Grbacker, now he's on my Elliott list.... |
That's exactly how I feel Brad.
If Elvis (or Smith or whoever) had said after leaving "I really liked the fans" or something, then fine... But Elvis ******* about KC everytime he gets a chance...**** him. |
Why wouldn't Elvis have some negaive feelings about Chiefs fans?
Aren't we the ones that cheered when he it appeared that he was hurt against SD? Yes, he said some stupid things, and made some bonehead plays, but cheering because a player because he may be injured is low class. I'm glad he's gone. I think that Trent Green will prove to be a better QB. But I don't blame Elvis for leaving, and I don't blame him for having a low opinion of the fans in KC. We earned that low opinion. |
Milkman,
He also earned his own reputation. I agree that booing ANY injured player is classless. However, the insults he took while here and since leaving are deserved IMO. I can understand defending his play or his toughness(mental and physical) but to say that people who criticize this guy need mental help? no way. Elvis is every bit as deserving criticism and ridicule as any other foe of the KC Chiefs. More so. He looked inept on the HBO show and I loved it. I knew he would and I expect more of the same. If hating Elvis, hoping he falls flat on his face and pointing out how truly bad he performs is wrong. I don't wanna be right. |
I'm not saying that hate for Elvis is wrong.
I'm saying he has valid reasons for his feelings towards KC fans, and those feelings should come as no surprise. |
Milkman,
I agree whole-heartedly. I've not been told to like Elvis, I've been told that I should let it go. Elvis has very good reasons for feeling the way he does, but until he "let's it go" why should we? |

I was one of the biggest Grbackers on the board. I was embarrassed at times to call myself a Chief fan with the way 'fans' acted towards EG. I wish the man well and if a Raven game is on and doesn't compete with a Chief game I may watch. Aside from that however he simply doesn't exist for me. As long as it doesn't effect us I don't care if he passes for 5000yrds or 5. I refuse to devote the energy towards feeling ill or positive about the man. Life's too short to dwell in the past. That's just me guys. Feel anyway you choose. |
