Is there a way to get it cheap besides stealing obviously? I do not have any vers. of office and only have word 2000 on my laptop.

I saw this and wonder if it is legit and if any college students actually got this...

why not get 2003 then? 07 is revamped and takes getting use to in my opinion. im not saying that its NOT better....im just saying its different. i get an employee discount and can get it for 20 bucks (07 i mean)

idon't know where i can get 03 at, my gf has it on her old pc but doesn't have the discs etc for it. You can get the 07 office for $20, dang, nice discount! What does it come with the basic stuff?

Well its good to know this is a legit deal, but i guess you DL it, i'd want a hard copy for sure...probably costs extra but i guess it beats $400 such a damn rip

as for where to get 03.... you can probably find it at a nice discount online. just gotta look :) or go up to JCCC get a student ID card, and get the student discount.

Most university bookstores won't ask you to display a student ID. Just tell them you forgot it. The discount is usually pretty good.

but yes, i think Oz's issue is that she doesnt have the disks or he wants 07 and thus needs disks.

I'd take her 03 and put it on but she doesn't have it and i don't want to get some backdoor trojan by stealing it off torrent. How do you get '07 for cheap, is that sprint perk?

For what it's worth, once I've gotten used to it, I prefer 07 to 03 hands down.

Exactly. When I first started on 07, I couldn't find anything I needed. But, I went through some of the MS training video's and that help a ton.

Office 2007 should not be avoided unless you're a caveman. the XML format(.docx, .xlsx, etc) that is now used by Office 2007 is what will soon be the standard. In many settings it already is the standard. Office 2003 won't be able to open files created in Office 2007 by default. If you use Word for more than just personal type/print functions, you're going to need 07 eventually.

It's a free, open-source productivity suite that uses MS Office compatible file types. It's not as full featured as the MS version of course, but it's typically sufficient for the normal, everyday home user.

Might use that, i mainly need it right now for writing papers, doing some spreadsheets and writing resumes/cover letters. This program good enough for that?
