Looks like a drunk driver missed smashing into my house by about 100 yards.
This guy was FLYING down the street at what must have been 100+ MPH in a beat up white truck. He crossed the center line right in front of my house and went over the curb about 100 yards away from my place.
He somehow managed to get back on the road after running through a street sign and was immediately pursued by a LEO who usually parks his vehicle in an empty lot in front of my home. I had to run to the gas station anyway and saw that he had finally been pulled over and was failing a sobriety test miserably. I hope they tune him up a bit before hauling him in. |
WE had a driver like that on our road about a year ago. He ended up flying into a building when he hit the end of the road and neglected to even attempt to stop. LITERALLY FLEW!!!!
It was an empty building, thank God!!! |
JA is still celebrating the new contract?

Never understood why some people drive more crazily when they are intoxicated. If I'm ever the tiniest bit intoxicated I just go slower, consciously be more aware of my surroundings, and stop completely at traffic control devices. Same thing goes for people that don't have licenses and have warrants out for their arrest.

100 yards? Thats like a football field's length away. You were fine.

That was no drunk driver. That was Slayer.

I'd hardly call 100 yards "missed"
He wasn't even close Way to be all dramatic about it |
Maybe he meant 100 ft? aghhhh

Just in case anyone missed this the first time, here's what it looks like when a drunk driver DOES hit a house:

I nearly got creamed by some idiot last night flying out of a Burger King parking lot at warp speed. I don't know if he was drunk or just stupid, but I do know he'd have been in my passenger seat if I hadn't locked up the brakes.
|
I'd assume anyone who doesn't live on a pretty large plot of property has drunk drivers "missing" their house by far less than 100 yards on a fairly regular basis.
