Mario Manningham Scores 6 on Wonderlic.
Credit to Blueballs who had cited this in another post, thought some might not see it in there so here it is.
Typical Michigan Bum. MARIO CHECKS INTO THE MOTEL 6 Posted by Mike Florio on April 25, 2008, 10:23 a.m. Somehow, we missed this one. But it’s better never than late. Or something. A reader pointed out to us today a list of Wonderlic scores showing Michigan receiver Mario Manningham generating a Vince Young-style six on the test. A six. Out of 50. We checked with a league source who has access to the numbers and, lo and behold, Manningham indeed got a six. For the former Michigan receiver, it’s another glob of lard that will grease his slide to the second day of the draft. Other knocks on Manningham include a sssslow time in the 40 and a failure to admit during interviews at the Scouting Combine the fact that he failed at least one marijuana test in college. Manningham thereafter wrote a letter to all teams apologizing for his prevarication (thanks, Tiki). But maybe Manningham merely should have explained the falsehood by pointing out, “What did you guys expect? I got a six on the Wonderlic.” Link http://www.profootballtalk.com/2008/...o-the-motel-6/ |
Don't you get 5 points for spelling your name right?
|
BWAAAAAHAAAAAAA. I guess he spelled his name wrong.
"see that shoe? it says adidas." |
I love the headline...
" MARIO CHECKS INTO THE MOTEL 6" ROFL |
He must really not want to get drafted, between this and the weed.
|
A "6"? I could jam a #2 pencil into my sphincter and sit down on the test sheet 50x and score better than a "6".
|
Well, if that whole NFL thing falls through, sounds like he'd make a fine Marine. :)
|
Good thing the chiefs dumbed down their offense so receivers could pick it up easier. I guess St. Louis (w/ new offensive coordinator Al Saunders) won't be drafting this guy.
|
Has anyone here ever taken that test?
|
If we ever go back and look at the CP draft please note I drafted him before it came out he was a lying pothead dumbshit.

I think a lot of players just don't take it seriously or are not aware if that if they dont immediately know the answer to move on. Their agents should couch them on this though. I would say you can get a 6 just by guessing on all 50 pretty easy. Some of the questions are very easy. |

So he's lazy, a pothead, and dumb. With their second round pick the KC Chiefs pick.......
|
We can take him and Clady, who combined can't manage to break 20.
|
I don't think he hired an agent until after the combine so it is likely he had no clue what the test was, nor was he ever told how to take the test.
|
Tracy Porter got a 4.

Here are the published scores for the Wonderlic test by the upcoming notable draft participants. Does it make you rethink who you’d want to draft at #9? Some interesting facts about the Wonderlic:
This assessment roughly corresponds to examples from Paul Zimmerman’s The New Thinking Man’s Guide to Pro Football. According to Zimmerman, examples of average scores for each position are: Offensive tackle - 26 Center - 25 Quarterback - 24 Guard - 23 Tight end - 22 Safety - 19 Linebacker - 19 Cornerback - 18 Wide receiver - 17 Fullback - 17 Halfback - 16 Pat McInally, a graduate of Harvard University, is the only football player to record a confirmed perfect score of 50. Ryan Fitzpatrick (a Cincinnati Bengal backup QB), a Harvard graduate like McInally, had also been rumored to have scored a perfect score of 50, in only nine minutes. However, he later claimed to have left at least one of the 50 answer spaces blank , leading the media to question his perfect score. The Wall Street Journal later reported that Fitzpatrick’s actual score was 38 (still considered excellent), but that Fitzpatrick’s claim of completing the Wonderlic in only nine minutes was accurate. While an average football player usually scores around 20 points, Wonderlic, Inc. claims a score of at least 10 points suggests a person is literate. Furthermore, when the test was given to miscellaneous people of various professions, it was observed that the average participant scored a 24. Examples of scores from everyday professions included: Chemist - 31 Programmer - 29 Journalist - 26 Sales - 24 Bank teller - 22 Clerical worker - 21 Security guard - 17 Warehouse - 15 Ok, without further ado, here are the 2008 NFL Draft Candidate scores (more than one number indicates the player took the test more than once) Matt Ryan 28/32 Brian Brohm 32/45 Joe Flacco 27/24/30 Matt Flynn 26/38 Josh Johnson 15/24 Andre Woodson 14/20 Chad Henne 22 Sam Keller 21/34 Chris Johnson 10/29 Tashard Choice 21/27 Justin Forsett 21/35 Lex Hilliard 24/50 Danny Woodhead 29/38 Matt Forte 18/25 Owen Schmitt 24/30 Jerome Felton 28/41 Andre Caldwell 8/14 Josh Morgan 19/26 Early Doucet 20/28 Keenan Burton 14/30 Harry Douglas 11/28 D.J. I see Clady only got a 13. Not exactly the score you want in a offensive lineman. :shake:

He's not a QB so I'm not worried about it, they're a bunch of non football related questions so to me that isn't a huge deal.
|
he's going to be as good as mike williams i bet. only a lot cheaper
|
i think a chimp shitting on this paper and then wiping its shit off the paper with a pencil could do better than a ****in 6. marios mind must be like a steal trap, only the steal trap is one you left out in the rain and it rusted shut.

I read a message from an athlete who had taken it recently after VY got his score that came out. It suggested a lot of players who are nervous choose to random the exam out. Then they can go to their boys and say they didn't even try. Doesn't it give 5 points for getting your name right? Pretty hard to believe guys get a 6 then. Alex "Smif" put up an incredible score for a qb and he's looked like a complete bust so far.

Roderick Green went to CMSU in Warrensburg MO a few years ago & was drafted by Baltimore & now is on the 49ers, proud to say my CMSU colleague got the lowest score ever, a 3.

Titans should draft him. VY needs someone as dumb as he is to throw the ball to.

Matt Millen is lickin' his chops...
|
maybe we could get him into the chiefs front office, raise the average in there.
