How about you?

DeezNutz 06-17-2008 07:40 PM

Sorry to hear that, Mr. Flopnuts. When I read the amount all I could picture was what's happening to Peach in your avi.

Donger 06-17-2008 07:42 PM

Complain why don't ya..hehe

I spend about 60-70 dollars a week for gas.

jjchieffan 06-17-2008 07:54 PM

Last weekend, the company I work for sent us from south of L.A. to San Jose in a Suburban, pulling a trailer. While up there, we went to Oaktown and San Francisco. We spent about $550 on gas for the trip. Fortunately, it all went on the company gas card. But still, that is totally unacceptable. If gas prices were reasonable, that trip should not have cost half that.

ChiefsCountry 06-17-2008 07:55 PM

About $80 a week.

Silock 06-17-2008 08:07 PM

Don't drive so much ;)

I personally spent $55.60 this month on gas. The wife spent about $110.

RJ 06-17-2008 08:08 PM

Gas for our two vehicles is costing us about $350 per month. My vehicle gets about 23 mpg, hers about 28 mpg. I'm trying to be more efficient about how I schedule my appointments for work. It's difficult. I don't want to cost myself sales by not being accommodating to my customers but I also don't want to burn fuel unnecessarily.

BWillie 06-17-2008 08:10 PM

I usually spend about 260 a month or so, but just the last weekend I spent 200 dollars. Had to drive my ass way up to Iowa. I should have used a sailboat instead.

Frazod 06-17-2008 08:11 PM

$120 since May 14. I take the train to work everyday, so that's mainly weekend driving. Basically going through a tank every two weeks.

I've started buying gas $30 at a time, which doesn't piss me off quite so much. Plus, I figure the car gets a bit better mileage not hauling around the extra weight of another half tank. And I am now very aware of how I drive, and unless I have to haul ass, I try to accelerate slowly and smoothly. That has made a difference, as I've got my city MPG up to around 19-20 from 15-16.

You need to learn to pull your weight to keep the Arabs rich. :)

Bugeater 06-17-2008 08:34 PM

$30-40/week in my van, $15-20/week in the wife's car. It's not like we can stop going to work.

I don't even want to know... have a Yukon XL that I can't get rid of at this time, so we're driving it as little as possible. Also have a Camry that I'm driving most of the time.

I'm going to guess that since June 1... we've spent $180 or so, filled up both cars at the beginning of the month. Will be filling up the Camry again soon... so, we'll eclipse the $200 mark tomorrow.

Lzen 06-17-2008 09:03 PM

I just drove to Disney World and back in the past couple weeks. Spent $533 on gas. ;)

bkkcoh 06-18-2008 07:23 AM

just got back from vacation and drove about 2300 miles, so 500+ in fuel wont be an issue for the last 30 days.

No , Valero is a U.S. company. I have several tenants that work for Valero at a refinery.

CoMoChief 06-18-2008 08:46 AM

My best friend still lives at home. Just grad from college, lives in Blue Springs and has to work in Overland Park everyday.

Drives a 2001 Grand Prix GTP that only takes Premium. He drives about 80mi to and from work everyday, fills up his tank about every 4-5 days.

almost a 3rd of his check goes to gas just to get to and from work.

I keep telling him to move out closer to his job.

I work only 3min away from my job. Gas is hardly an issue for me unless I go back to Blue Springs to see family etc which I hardly do anyways.

I guess it depends on how many people you took with you and how far you had to drive. But why didn't you fly? (Assuming you drove from KC)

What about BP also?

Back to the subject, now that gas has went up again, I probably am at 220-250 a month depending on how much I drive (extra). I drive 23 miles to work each way, and with the mixture of in-town/highway driving im averaging about 24mpg. If it matters, I drive a 2005 Buick Lacrosse CXL.

On a side note we had a customer come in with a 96 Geo Metro in pretty rough shape. It's a 5 speed trans, 3 cylinder engine (1.0), and he is going to put 1500.oo bucks into this thing. We are seeing all sorts of metro's pop out from the woodwork.

I don't even want to know.

I also know I don't want to trade with my sister who commutes 160miles/day or my brother and his fuel costs.

This time of year in Iowa...it takes at least $300 for 1 tank of tractor fuel....and they're running a lot of hours.

Redrum_69 06-18-2008 09:17 AM

Veddy Nice.

farmerchief 06-18-2008 11:26 AM

Well over $8000, as I just filled my diesel and gas tanks on the farm, as we were getting ready for wheat harvest!(which has been delayed with too, much, RAIN!)

I live in Topeka and it was a family trip to Disney World. Me, my wife, and our 3 kids. 2600 miles round trip. I would love to have flown instead. I hate really long drives. But this was much cheaper.
