Favre to the Chiefs!!!!???
What would you think if that unlikely scenerio were to happen?
He'd make the Chiefs a better team for a year or two, ala Joe Montana. As for me....... no thanks. I'm willing to sink or swim with Croyle. After being a Chiefs fan for 18 years, I'm ready for the youth movement. |
Damn right. I want to go 9-7. Let's do it.
|
Farve saw what happened to Trent Green, didn't he?
Why be Willie Mays in the Mets uniform? If he were to go anywhere, the nearest team to his home area is New Orleans. |
No thanks. Bring on Croyle, whom I don't believe is the answer. Hope I'm wrong, but maybe, just maybe, karma will be on the Chiefs side and another terrible year will allow them to find their own franchise QB.
(I don't want to hear about how there's not a front-line QB in next year's draft. Let us have false hope for a little while.) |

If we were like Minnesota then I'd be for getting Favre but we aren't remotely close.
|
What if the Vikes signed him?
|
If our Defense is top 5 and our o-line can block this year then yes..otherwise no
That said, if both those are true, we need to see what Brodie can do so..no so really...i dont know? |

Like Carl would get him signed in time for training camp
|
I'm not sure Fa-Vah-Ra's wacky "throw it up for grabs like a wedding garter" style would work in Herm's system. Within mere weeks, Fa-Vah-Ra would drive Herm completely crazy to the point he would start drooling and barking obscenities for no reason and repeatedly slamming his pecker in locker room doors and wearing a paper sack on his head and dancing like a chicken in front of Arrowhead on game days.
So, I say yes. FAX |
Randall Cunningham to the Chiefs!!!!???
What would you think if that unlikely scenerio were to happen? He'd make the Chiefs a better team for a year or two, ala Joe Montana. As for me....... no thanks. Killer thread. |
NO. I want our team to struggle and get better through the draft. No more stop gaps for mediocre seasons.
|
I don't want that attention whore anywhere near our team.

I enjoy how everyone is smack talking Favre now when he was basically doing this shit for the last 5 years.

No.
It would be like Watching Johnny U in a Bolts uniform. A travesty the likes I never want to see again. |
no... find out what croyle has. if nothing, find another young qb
|
Sure.... bring on Favre.
Straight up trade - Huard for Favre plus a 7th to GB. At the very least when Croyle gets his stick body mangled by week 3, we will have someone who can teach Thigpen or next years drafted QB how to play the game. OF course.... Favre would have to renegotiate his contract. :D |
Gunther Fan to a disabilities center!!!!???
Make it happen, Carl! |

I would much rather see Croyle or even Thigpen, but I wouldn't be super pissed if we brought him in without giving much away... especially if he took our team somewhere. I also wouldn't mind Croyle learning from him a little, I've heard they throw the ball simular.

Where did you find this speculation that Favre would be a Chief?
|
It would certainly fit the Chiefs Modus operandi being the unimaginative losers that run the team.
Maybe they'll be little Green Bay instead of little San Fran this time! Mediocrity thinking at its finest. |

If the Chiefs were to pick up Brett, just think of all the possibilities:
- For the first time in NFL history, league officials would instantly modify the original season schedule so that our team would play in prime time (Sunday/Monday night football) for at least 2 games in 2008. - John Madden's cruiser would always be parked at Arrowhead during the weekdays. - The Chiefs would be the only club ever to have 2 HOF QBs end their careers on the sidelines injured while enduring a loss in the playoffs. - Favre and Croyle would have their own line of hunting gear (with the "Brett & Brody" label) which would be exclusively available at Cabela's. |
We are "getting younger" why would Herm sign a great, but old QB??
I respect him, but he should go out with dignity. A lot of people thought he should have retired years ago, and he proved he can still play, why change that? Not good for a career, when you are the franchise for years and then switch to another team. Let's see... 1. Emmitt Smith 2. Michael Jordan 3. Willie Mays 4. Joe Montana |
No thanks, we've already get a QB who can throw interceptions AND he's young
|
"He'd make the Chiefs a better team for a year or two, ala Joe Montana."
Exactly. I'd like to see us get better for the long haul, not two seasons. |
Who started this moronic thread?
Oh, Gunther Fan. Check... |
it won't happen.

defenses would be in a high pitched drooling fever |
We don't want him.
|
Just say no.
Bringing in Favre would be one step forward, two steps backward. Unless Doc Brown can fix the flux capacitor and start up the deLorean so that the Chiefs get the '96 version of Favre, this would be a bad move for many reasons. In the last three seasons he's only thrown four more touchdowns than picks, and 100 of his passes in the last five years have been caught by guys wearing the other team's jersey; in the playoffs since 2000 he's thrown more interceptions than touchdowns. Add to that his salary, salary cap implications, and whatever draft picks we would have to give up in order to get him in a trade. Oh yeah, and learning a new playbook and getting a rhythm and timing down with all new team mates in six weeks. No thank you, I don't want another quick fix that will fall short and set us even further back. |
Skip that joker........is all I can muster. Is it football season yet?
|
he ain't coming here. just forget it

PRO FOOTBALL; Chiefs and 49ers Come to Terms on Montana Trade
By TOM FRIEND, Published: April 21, 1993 Joe Montana, who helped the 49ers win four Super Bowls and was urged by fans to run for mayor, is officially leaving San Francisco. Tonight, the 49ers traded the 36-year-old quarterback -- along with safety David Whitmore and a 1994 third-round draft pick -- to Kansas City for the Chiefs' first-round selection (the 18th over all) in the National Football League draft on Sunday. Well with three more years on Farve than were on Montana, I say Third pick this year and fourth next. Nothing else. |
We've got a nice start at rebuilding with this last draft, IMO. If Croyle does wash out, we'll pick high again, and have a chance to get one of the best QB's in the draft, along with high picks for other postitions.
Favre would make us better. He'd make us mediocre again, and we all know how that's worked out. |

Did Favre suffer a loss of oxygen to the brain this past offseason? Unless he did, there is no way in hell he'd want to play for KC. Lets unretire after having a great season and go to a team with weak receivers, an extremely questionable OL and a questionable defense. Plus, Herm doesn't want a gambling gun slinger at QB. Herm couldn't deal with Green, there is now way Favre would fit in.

See how that works out for ya. I don't see how a Raider fan has a leg to stand on when it comes to a discussion about rebuilding a team. Your team has clearly shown the league how NOT to do it. |
Dude has won once at Arrowhead, seems like a good fit.

I saw a milwaukee reporter on ESPN yesterday, said KC was the logical choice for Favre to end up.An AFC team that would not make the Packers look bad for trading Favre.I'd say no. Rather stick with Croyle, Thigpen and maybe Santos. See how it plays out this preseason.

Obviously I'm biased, but no....Favre is better off sticking with the team that was built around his talents. Secondly I'd like to say that I'm proud of those on the planet who are voting to stick with the youth movement. It shows that some of the "True" fans are actually waking up.
