I'm always a sucker to watch the Raiders, always hoping pain will be inflicted upon them. I'm here in Nashville for the game and as far as preseason games go this looks to be a good one. Titans are going to be good this year, I think they might win the AFC South, if not they win wildcard for sure. Vince looks improved, Alge Crumpler is huge help, and Chris Johnson was a good pick.

The Raiders look like they are actually getting their act together. Chiefs fans definitly should watch. Mcfadden is going to get a lot of carries and Jammarcus Russell is going to play most of first half. It is a good luck at the Raiders. Game is at 7pm Nationally televised on FOX.

I wonder if AutumnWind is out in the yard so he can see this, or if he's in lockdown?

I'm going to watch this game. Like you, Mr. sportsman1, I'm interested in seeing how the Idiots In Black perform tonight. They've made a lot of changes up there.

I'm anxious to watch JaBustus throw picks, and I think McFadden will have some serious issues against that first team D-Line.

Honestly I think its possible. The defense is solid, Vince is more seasoned. Also new o-coordinator. Fisher has worked pretty hard on getting the O up to the par, and I think It will surprise a lot of people how improved it is. If the Titans can score just a little more you would think they could get to 11 or 12 wins from a 10 win season last year.

Can someone explain to me why an AFC matchup is being played on Fox?

I'm not certain, Mr. Vanilla Thunder, but I think the other networks are probably doing the bigfeets story.

I like watching the Titans. I don't think they're winning the AFC south though. You've got a perennial favorite in Indy, a stout Jaguar team, and an improving Texans squad. Chris Johnson seemed like a bit of a luxury pick to me. I know he has been lining up split wide sometimes but picking up some true WR help would have been a better choice IMO. We'll see if Heimerdinger can continue to develop a young WR group without a lot of name recognition. IMO, you can attribute a lot of the success guys like McCareins and Bennett had while in Tennessee to him.

I never root for injury, but when the Fade and Donx play I do wish 'em to embarrass themselves. Often. Raiders were just 'forced to punt'. Not really embarrassing, but not exactly covering themselves in glory, either. Let's just give them all a belated 'Punt Bitches!' on general principle.

Titans just gained 23 on the Fade. It must really, really suck to be a Fade fan.

He's 6/8 so that's pretty normal.

The way its looking, we might be able to sweep the Faiders this year. The Titans aren't looking much better either.

It also helps that the Titans aren't getting any pressure on him either.

Preseason....I still think we'll have severe issues defending in general this year.

It's still early. The Idiots In Black haven't started rolling out the personal foul penalties, yet.

VY looked like total trash...as expected.

Russell looked better, but throwing 10 yards laterally isn't all that difficult. He did make a very nice throw to that TE for that TD. Both running games looked respectable.

I did not see any of the game did he do well?

He looked strong...and pretty explosive through the hole on a few plays. At least from what I watched, he looked legit.

McFadden averaged over 7 yds/carry, but only rushed 6 times.

It may be possible that you were almost right about something... I just dunno what it might be....

There was a muffed punt return in the end zone that handed a TD to the Titans. And a fumble going in from the 1 at the 2 minute mark that resulted in the Titan win.

I think you guys might have something going on, Mr. Ugly Duck. Difficult to tell from that game, but there were some good plays.

They should have blitzed on every down. Like the Raiders were doing early on. In the preseason.

Heck... I still can't tell what is going on with this team. Nothing jumps right out atcha. No big WOW!! plays from the fledglings (JaMarcus, Bush, McFadden). No big WTF? plays from the questionables (Gallery, Kwame, Javon). Just rather mundane not-quite-ready-for-preseason nothingness so far. Hope these guys get it together quick cuz they gotta start playing for real pretty soon. If not, well... maybe they're just not a very good team. Yet.

McFadden looked good on a garbage carry. Otherwise he's another Chris Johnson - a straight-ahead speed guy.

Russell, on the other hand, showed some real development. He'll need that going against NFL defenses. When the real games kick in, McFadden is going to have to learn to open his eyes when he's running.

In all seriousness, UD, how did your run D look? I think that is the difference between another season of ass for you guys and getting out of the cellar.
