Ok since that time has come, Superbowl picks

Lets hear everyone's Superbowl pick before the year starts that way if you're right you get bragging rights..

My pick is.......

Colts vs Cowboys

007 08-30-2008 03:16 AM

What the hell..

Rematch.

Giants and Patriots.

Consistent1 08-30-2008 03:22 AM

It's a tough thing to pick at this point. If you held a gun to my head, I would say Chargers and Cowboys.

Midnight_Vulture 08-30-2008 03:26 AM

Chargers vs Cowboys

I dont care what Merriman does. The Chargers are absolutely loaded on Offense and if they can stay healthy then they'll be okay. They will finally beat the Pats in the AFC CHampionship and we already know that the Chargers OWN the Colts so they wont have any trouble there.
If you give Norv TUrner talent, the dude is actually a really good coach.

The Cowboys will rep the NFC but I can see the Giants or Seahawks beating them cause the NFC is just soooo awful and wide open.

Mecca 08-30-2008 03:39 AM

Chargers Cowboys was my pick a few weeks ago but with Merrimans issues and all of that I think they fall short.

noa 08-30-2008 03:53 AM

Chiefs and Falcons

Seriously,

Colts-Saints

RedandGold 08-30-2008 06:46 AM

I'm in for Colts vs Cowboys. I don't think there will be anyone that will come close to touching Dallas on the NFC side, and it was a coin toss between NE and Indy for the AFC.

I have a feeling that age will become an issue with NE's defense, so I'm going with Indy.

I was tempted to say Jags, but the Saints will finish behind Carolina and Tampa in that order :D

Jags vs Vikes.

j/k

NE will stomp the living piss out of ___________ from the NFC again.

philfree 08-30-2008 09:02 AM

I think the whole thing is up in the air. I think teams like the Colts and Patriots have seen their best days and I don't think Romo has what it takes. So I'm gonna go with Pitts and Seattle. Holmgrin and his Sea Chickens get the win.

Viqueens vs. Pats.

You know the Viqueens are gonna be there. An ex Chief defensive starter went there. Neil Smith got his ring at Denver. Last year, Kawika got his at NYG. This year, it will be JA.

There is scientific evidence for this point of view.

Deberg_1990 08-30-2008 09:22 AM

Chiefs Cowboys

I feel Brodie Croyle will step up and deliver big time this year.

Pro Bowl year.

4100 yards
39 TD's
13 INT's

Nzoner 08-30-2008 09:27 AM

I think the Titans are flying under the radar and their new weapon Chris Johnson is going to be rookie of the year and that defense will end up in the top 5.

Titans vs. Panthers

I wanted to go Cowboys but I think the expectations are way too high and that division is going to be a dogfight.I'm also waiting for Pacman to screw up and lastly I just see too many "superstar egos" to make it all come together, see Redskins a few years ago.

You make a good point with Carolina. They usually pop up out of nowhere and threaten to win it all. They are one of the scarier franchises in the league and I would never be surprised by a CP SB appearance.

I like the Titans too. It all really depends on how much V. Young Develops.

Peppers will be the 12th man on offense this year. Lotsa weapons & lotsa good leadership.

I'll go with Saints for my relatively safe pick, and Texans for my out there pick. Jags will be a massive disappointment this year and miss the playoffs.

The Cowboys are the favorites every year.

I don't think there will be anyone that will come close to touching Dallas on the NFC side -- The Cowboys hold the NFL record for most consecutive playoff losses in this decade.

Actually the Giants players rated the Cowboys tougher than the Patriots -- A lot of good 12 Pro Bowl picks did for them though.

The 'best team' lost in all of Wade Phillips playoff games that he was the H/C. If Wade doesn't do something, he'll most likely to forced to take his moral victories and clean out his office and forced to move on.

well, the giants and patriots are in different conferences. therefore, it is possible for them to play each other in the super bowl. see how that works?

I get it. How is the AFC going to play the NFC when the NFC ceases to exist?

Mecca 08-30-2008 03:25 PM

It's November and this ain't looking too bad, although I'm seeing the Titans in a tough game this week with a good possibility of losing.
