An interview with Brett Farve during the Jets win .,

ROYC75 09-07-2008 02:37 PM

How does Farve know this before the press ?

kcpasco 09-07-2008 02:38 PM

I'm sure Patriot nation will be looking for Pollards head on a stake.
Well **** them, it was a clean play.

ROYC75 09-07-2008 02:40 PM

I haven't seen any news reports of it, other than on ESPN when Brett Farve is shown speaking..... How does Brett get this info ?

Probably just a bunch of BS

Didn't Gannon's ability kinda fade after the Chiefs knocked him out of game?

Brett Favre knows a torn ACL when he sees one. He's had dozens. Thankfully his Wrangler jeans held his leg together enough to lead his team to 17 Super Bowl wins.

Why do people hate great players?

Is it because he's not on the Chiefs, there's alot of irrational Manning hate too.

Mangini now has a weekly scheduled BJ for Pollard if Brady is out for the season. Matter of fact the whole rest of the AFC East for that matter:)

He could have just torn his MCL, judging by the angle of his knee on that hit.

While I don't personally have a problem with the guy, I can understand why people don't like him. Its because they are sick of hearing about him. Last year ESPN was All Patriots/Brady All The Time.

Ad that to the frustration of the fans of most teams who have a QB who is barely worth a roster spot and you get the animosity towards Tom Terrific.

More likely an LCL since Pollard is hitting him on the inside of his leg. Meaning the LCL is the one being stretch on the outside. "The MCL is usually injured by a "blow" to the outer side of the leg (valgus force). A "blow" to the inner side of the leg (varus force) may injure the LCL. "

Brett doesn't have the news. But Brett being Brett, saw that this weeks headlines were going to be about Brady and not Brett making Brett's comeback, took it upon Brett to make sure that the Brady headlines involved Brett. Make sense?

ROYC75 09-07-2008 03:29 PM

Randy called it a dirty play ........

Various Patriots players were asked their thoughts on the hit that knocked Tom Brady out of today’s game. Receiver Randy Moss was the most outspoken about the play:
“I don’t really want to get into it, but me personally, I think it was dirty,” he said.
“Like I said, I didn’t really see anything; I was running down the field. When I came back in [and watched it], it looked dirty to me. I’ve never been a dirty player. I honestly don’t even know how to play dirty. I just play the game. Any time you see something like that, that looks foul, it looks dirty, it opens your eyes. So, me personally, it looked dirty.”

Got it , it's all about Brett ....... Damn, we knew this shit before you typed it .

Seriously, How can Brett Farve make that comment without it being reported to the news yet. Now Brett was the , err, sportsman that he is , err, saying that's bad for Tom and the team, but that they have always rallied around injuries.....

SAUTO 09-07-2008 04:14 PM

I really dislike the noobz, I guess I need to get my homer hat out and throw all logic out the window.

And yea I'm really not a fan, I've only been here for years if I wasn't a fan I wouldn't waste my god damn time on a forum of all things.

Because I'm not a homeristic fan and will fully point out things I don't like and need to change does not make me a shitty fan or you a better fan than me. It means I call a spade a spade regardless of what team the players lineup for.

Pollard was concerned and went to his coach saying it wasn't dirty. He saw Tom still had the ball, even when Pollard was still on the ground. So he was already low and went for it.

Definition for Dirty: in sports is not fair or unsportsmanlike..

Pushing off when it is not allowed is unsportsmanlike and dirty.. Problem is he and other WR rarely get called for it..

Purposely taking out someones knees is Dirty also.. Just to a much higher degree..

I do not believe Pollard did it on purpose, he was trying to make a play and that was the only part he could go after with the blocker on top of him.. Unfortunately shit happens..

Most of my original response was to Moss saying he is not dirty.. The ****er cheats every chance he gets.. IE he is a dirty player, if he was not then he would not push off all the damn time..

It is just not to the same degree in dirtiness as hurting somebody..

Brady still had the ball when he lunged at him I believe..

Another subject.. Pats fans are bitching because 'they say you can make no play towards a QB legs' and Pollard is dirty and should be 'find'.. Yeah find, not fine.. Back to the point though..

I hear the excuse that defenders can get out of the way of cut blocks and that is the reason why they are still legal.. Even though people get hurt all the damn time.. Brady could have gotten out of the ****ing way considering he was not locked up with someone.. This is just my view of things from a defenders point of view..
