Well, it is good to know that there are no FA QB's for the Chiefs to bring in next year.

About the only name that would be good is Dunta Robinson of the Texans, but I believe he has been hurt.

I'd take Housh, if we had someone to get him the ball. And I'm sure there is some OL, DL, and LB help mixed in there that could do our team some good.

Bring in Jordan Black for a look. He could help solidify this line. o:-)

Charlie Frye is the best option at QB. Jesus.

He blew out his knee last year and it also caused a problem with some tearing in his hamstring, he's on the PUP list now so he still isn't completely recovered from an injury he got last December.

Also Tommie Harris isn't an FA he got a new deal with the Bears, same as Colston with the Saints.

FYI, Jyles Tucker, LB for the Chargers has been signed to a 5 year extension. He should not be on that list.

I went found that after I posted. I knew he was hurt couldnt remember what it was. That would be a risk/reward signing if you structured the contract right IMO.

Looking at this list, its the reason why you build through the draft. That list is basically full of crap. I can only see a few players that would be worth going after.

I'd consider Jeff Garcia or Kurt Warner depending on the draft. Garcia will for sure be available if he's not traded or cut this season. If we draft a quarterback with our top pick (God help us) I'd like to have someone here as a mentor and to possibly start for a year or two. Huard may be a veteran but not the kind I'd prefer to have showing a young quarterback the ropes.

Jordan Black could be available..

At this point I'm thinking Jordan Black would be an upgrade over McIntosh.

A good sized boulder would be an upgrade...

I wonder if the Bucs will wanna hold onto Ryan Sims...

There's a lot of guys that have re-signed with their teams.

If Cassel turns out to be a stud give him starter money. Pay Housh too we've got the cap room. Trade down our high first round draft pick (because we're not going to spend a top 3 pick on RT or LB) and get decent RT and LB by drafting for NEED.

Decent OLine, upgrade at LB, Housh + Bowe + Franklin + TG for Cassel to throw to, another year of experience for our young DLine and CB's, and LJ pulls his head out of his a$$.

Interesting list. I think we should weed out the ones that would surely stay (or be kept)with their own teams and then discuss the merits of the others. So get at it talent experts.

I think it's really going to come down to the QB position. Unless Croyle has a miraculous turnaround, KC has to find a QB. If it's trading for Brady Quinn, drafting a QB in round 1 high, or signing/trading for a veteran, solidifying the QB position in the #1 priority.

Relooking at this list I think I know two guys I would target - Kerry Rhodes, S of the Jets and Chris Gamble, CB of the Panthers.

I think the approach to take is one that brings in younger vets, who have playing experience who will not break the bank.

In Losman we have a legit QB who will still be under 30. He can either back up Croyle or tutor our young gun we draft. Either way his game matches the type of offense we are running.

Roscoe Parrish is a WR/PR his flexibility is valuable, and can serve as our #3 WR, especially if we grab Losman.

Shayne Graham is only 32 and has plenty of gas left in the tank and is good at kicking off.

I see Cleveland wanting our #1 and a 2 probably and maybe a pos. player, they will find a way to fleece us if they really want to trade Quinn

God, I just had a flash back of when we we're screaming for Corey Dillon.

With an uncapped salary cap coming up, free agency will just be a bunch of scrubs. Teams can and WILL keep players that they believe help them. Next year will be one of the worst FAs classes since it started. Great job, Chieftains!!

Uh TJ Houshmanzadeh is a very good reciever, and I think I saw Marques Colston on that list as well.

I love this list. It's realistic and doesn't rely on teams stupidly not signing their own best players. Justin Miller from the Jets as a CB/KR is also a good name.

CB Nnamdi Asomugha - The main key FA to spend our cap room on. This would leave Brandon Carr as the nickle back and this would make Surtain expendable.
FS Will Allen - Cut McGraw and have Allen backup Page.
