Yeah. Bought it in '87 and wore it until like '99. It was only the last couple years that I had it that I even knew they were "in style" at one point. It was just a grey wind breaker. That's all.

But,around 2002,I saw Richard Kline(Three's Company's "Larry") wearing a brown leather Member's Only jacket at a country club I used to work at.

I almost lost it when I saw him.

I had one, and so did pretty much everyone else I knew in the 80s. I think they were required by law........at least in California where I lived at the time. :)

I had mine back in the early/middle 80's...maybe I was a trend setter? Heh, I think not. I had a Grey, Maroon, and Black jacket. I seem to remember that they went well with my parachute pants. Back then I had a mullet too....wtf was I thinking?

I've never been very stylish. At the time, I felt kind of bad that I never had a Member's Only jacket, an Izod shirt, parachute pants, acid washed jeans or a Swatch watch.

Now I'm kinda glad. :)

Yea, agreed....the Members only jacket reign was mainly from 81-85 or so...


Its funny, because if you ever see any old TV show or movie from that era, its garunteed you will see at least one or two of those jackets on any given guy.

Yep...the regular one in light blue (i know....but it was really cool at the time)...and a brown leather one.

There's a guy in a different department here where I work ....he's about 45-50ish....

Kid you not....he wears a members only jacket EVERY day to work.......AND...he wears it while he's working (apparently cause he's always cold.....he IS quite small for a guy).

But anyways....he has 3 different colors....one black (most of the days)....one light blue....and one tan.

We do refer to him as "Members Only" instead of his real name.

Guess he feels comfortable in them.

I bought one back in the 80's, wore it out to a club one night, decided it made me look like all the other dickheads in the place and never wore it again.

It was black.

I had a dark green one back in '84, and I wore the crap out of that thing.

I had one when I was seven or eight. I got laid about three times a day...just because of the jacket.
