Didn't see this posted but its slated for 8:00 on ESPN!!!
MU-Nebraska gets 8 p.m. start The Tigers and Cornhuskers are going back under the lights. Nebraska will play host to Missouri at 8 p.m. on Oct. 4 and ESPN will broadcast the game, according to the Big 12 Conference’s updated TV schedule. Also on TV that day, Iowa State hosts Kansas at 11:30 a.m. (VERSUS); Baylor hosts Oklahoma at 11:30 a.m. (FSN); Kansas State hosts Texas Tech at 2:30 p.m. (ABC); and Colorado hosts Texas at 6:00 p.m. (FSN). |

It won't be as big a win as Mizzou fans think. Mizzou scored 41 points against Nebraska last year, and they might score 41 points again this year. The Huskers' defense has several holes. I don't envision Bo handing out blackshirts this year.
I still question if the Huskers' offense can run effectively against good teams. I hope this year's score is closer than 41-6. I don't know how much closer it will be. I just hope Nebraska can beat Virginia Tech on Saturday. Their conference schedule looks brutal. The following two games are against Mizzou and Texas Tech. |

Nebraska is a better team than last year and Lincoln is always been a tough place to play.
If MU doesn't bring their A game......or if they play defense like they did last weekend.....they could lose. This by no means is a pushover game. |
I wouldn't overestimate Nebraska's 3-0 start. The offense has shown inconsistency like last year. Chase Daniel should have another fun day.
|
Go MU! Nebraska should be a good game, but if Mizzou can get past Texas and OK at the big 12 championship theyll be in the NC!
best offense in football IMO |

My guess is a 38-28 Mizzou win. |

Well damn,my sis-in-law has a 50th birthday party that night that I'm playing DJ,add to that the party is in Kansas and I'll be the ONLY Mizzou fan there.
Note to self...keep your drunk ass mouth shut. |
My ray of hope relates to how Pelini defensed Mizzou in 2003. But this year's Mizzou team is much more equipped offensively and defensively.

And if they play defense like they did last weekend? Last weekend was their best defensive showing so far this year. 3 fumbles by the offense and a kick return for a touchdown was what allowed Buffalo to stay in the game for a while. Of course you would actually have to have followed the game to know that instead of just looking at the score. |

But yea. |
My early line for the game:
Missouri 45, Nebraska 24 Nebraska still lacks the pass rush up front and the speed in the back seven to really give a great spread o trouble. You have to be able to pressure the passer with four and drop seven to have consistent success against a spread team, and I don't think Nebraska has all of that. Defensively, Missouri needs to do two things: 1) Get William Moore healthy (two weeks off should help that); 2) Dial back the blitzes in its Tampa 2. I know DC Matt Eberflus has been working on a new scheme (designed around a hybrid safety/backer playing the nickel slot) based on the Tampa D, and I am hearing some underground rumblings he was experimenting with it a lot and the blitzing aspect of it in the nonconference schedule. I would be surprised if Missouri continues to blitz as much as it has so far this season. One final thing: Because of the efficiency and quick-strike ability of Missouri's offense, the defense is facing more possessions and more total plays than almost every other team; total yards is a bad barometer in that situation. Missouri's yards-per-play through the non-con this year actually are much better than they were a season ago - and the scoring defense is improved. |
Chase Daniel is on Jim Rome's show right now.

kietzman is schmoozy, plays alot of golf, reminds me of a guy that thought he was cool but isn't, then ok you have all that schmooze ohhhhh look at my yaght kind of voice and arragance, then he stirs up shit every radio station. I understand that is what gets the
ratings, but damn it can piss you off somedays. Then he has control of the button and so he can cut you off, but mostly he atleast knows what he has said over the years. He does atleast drum up some outrage for carl and for the some of the royals stuff. |

I have Selvin Young and Ryan Grant starting, but I'm thinking about picking up Denver's goal line RB, Michael Pittman, too, so I can get a vast majority of the rushing yards given up by the Chiefs on Sunday. RBBC ruins Fantasy Football. :cuss:  |
