Maurice Price now a Patriot!

hehehe....

http://news.bostonherald.com/blogs/s...osition=recent

Using the spot on the active roster left open after Monday’s release of Kyle Eckel, the Patriots quickly pounced by agreeing to terms with wide receiver Maurice Price.

Bert Briones, who represents Price, confirmed that a deal was in place. Price was waived by the Kansas Chiefs last week, and worked out with the Pats earlier today.

Wide receiver Kelley Washington missed Sunday’s game with an ankle injury, so Price provides some depth. The 6-1, 200-pounder has also played on special teams as a gunner.

He had joined the Chiefs as a rookie free agent in 2007, but spent the entire season on injured reserve after suffering a broken clavicle in training camp. He attended Charleston Southern, establishing Big South Conference records for receptions (202) and receiving yards (2,429) while ranking second in conference history with 19 TDs.

God ****.

RealSNR 09-23-2008 09:30 PM

WHAT IF HE TURNS INTO THE NEXT JOE HORN LOL

Buehler445 09-23-2008 09:30 PM

Goddamn it.

evolve27 09-23-2008 09:32 PM

Our talent evaluation is horrible. Now he gets to play for a world-class organization, good for him. May Matt Cassel throw him endless TD passes. We are not worthy of your talent :hail: because we are set at that particular position.

ChiefsCountry 09-23-2008 09:34 PM

Patriots have a thing for our scrubs. Beisel, Warfield, now Price.

RealSNR 09-23-2008 09:34 PM

Ten bucks says he gets cut next offseason, guys.

He's not going to do shit. Just because he looked like one of the better WRs on OUR squad doesn't mean he can cut it.

aturnis 09-23-2008 09:40 PM

Who cares, he is 28. Over the hill.

TrickyNicky 09-23-2008 09:42 PM

He might actually see the field there eventually. Since they actually have formations with 5 WR's.

I thought he looked better than any WR we have other than Bowe. But we didn't see much of him. It looks like a typical Chiefs **** up though.

I must have gotten some bad info. I swear last week I read something somewhere that had him born in like '80.

chiefs1111 09-23-2008 10:14 PM

damn it Carl! lol

ArrowheadHawk 09-23-2008 10:17 PM

Who cares? Obviously Franklin is better than Price.

boogblaster 09-23-2008 10:17 PM

Price caught some decent passes in Pre.. some were damn good catches ...

RealSNR 09-23-2008 10:30 PM

I just dropped Terrell Owens for Maurice Price in my fantasy leagues. I'm lucky I was the first to get to him!

Dude you know what I'd like, for one person to explain to me why Jeff Webb is on this team, and he's Herm's sons best friend is not an acceptable answer even though it's probably true.

We are a team in rebuilding that is carrying guys cause their Herms friends...McGraw, Webb, Edwards is Tim Krumries lover.....yea these coaches they're the ones to get it done.

BJ Sams will be good for 5 or 6 wins for us by himself. ROFL

Hell yeah. It's not just the team that needs rebuilding. The fan base does too; enough with the complacency.

Chiefs Fans '08: "Coach better, or we're setting your shit on fire."

That's great, I bet we'd get a feature story on sportscenter.

Pigheads on the practice field is the european way of letting your coach know he outstayed his welcome.

Has Jeff Web even played this season yet??? I really don't remember hearing his name called at all yet...

The only play Jeff Webb has ever made that we remember involves an incomplete pass. Dude sucks more balls than Clay Aiken.

I'm running out of room on my team, since I've still got Sippio. Some team is going to pick him up and make him their number one SOON! Oh yeah, I got Brian Shay too!

It will be interesting to look back on this day 10 years from now and decide if this was the breaking point of our franchise.

Seriously, though, I thought he looked okay. I think I'ld rather have Price active than Hagans. Oh well... win some , lose some.

Frankly, I don't remember hearing anyone's name getting called yet...except for penalties, injuries and turnovers.

Well, except for King Clay(Carl).

Brock 09-24-2008 08:00 AM

I predict he will be yet another of our practice squad rejects to go on to hall of fame careers with other teams.

Dylan 09-24-2008 11:02 PM

I don't know what to make of this -- What set Belichick apart from other coaches -- so I thought --he knew how to develop players whether they were drafted or acquired. His players practice on both sides of the ball. So, how do you explain the epic collapse?

If you had a choice of quarterbacks, would you choose Dan Marino or Ben Rothlisberger. Which would you rather have a great QB or a QB that won the Super Bowl? --- The Patriots are missing a lot more than Tom Brady.

There is also something about a coach that had the perfect game plan in place year to year. Now, all of a sudden he's practically calling his players bums -- himself included.. Was it the film? LMAO

BB: "Well, there is not too much to say here. I thought that Miami played a real good football game. They did everything a lot better than we did. The outplayed us. They out coached us. They certainly dominated on offense and defense. I thought we were competitive in the kicking game but that was about it, not on the offensive or defensive sides of the ball. They obviously deserved to win. They were the better team and they did everything a lot better than we did today. Not too much to say..."

That damn Patriot staff doesn't have a clue.

Bunch of ****ing idiots. I tell ya.

HypnotizedMonkey 10-12-2008 08:32 AM

Randy Moss is going to steal his wallet and underwear.

KCJohnny 10-12-2008 09:48 AM

Meanwhile 6 weeks into the season we still have no established #2 WR and our best reciver (TE Tony Gonzalez) wants out.

Price was a gamer for anyone who had eyes to see.

Brock 10-12-2008 09:49 AM

I'm sure he'll go on to have a great Arena League 2 career.
