If Richardson was white would you want to start him?

I agree and second!!!

Damion "The sack attack" McIntosh needs to benched or when Brodie comes back he won't last even one game. (Of course it is doubtful he'll last more the two or three anyway.) Herm and Co. need to put the best guys on the field to protect whoever is under center.

beach tribe 10-06-2008 03:07 PM

You get better by PLAYING!! PLAY THE MAN.

BigChiefFan 10-06-2008 03:23 PM

At this point we have nothing to lose. McIntosh is a sieve.

Why start Richardson when you've got Taylor. Sounds like a dumb idea to me.

Quality.:D

PastorMikH 10-06-2008 03:31 PM

At least sub him in and see how he does. We're forcing youth everywhere else, why aren't we even trying at RT where we have a mediocre vet?

Jones is no better. Put in Wade Smith at RG and Taylor at RT. Put is Richardson if Taylor doesn't get the job done.

philfree 10-06-2008 03:58 PM

It's suuch a no brainer. Mc is struggling at RT and he never was a good run blocker anyways. We are going with a youth movement. We have a young freshly drafted RT on the roster named Richardson. Richardson is a good run blocker but he struggles at pass protection so instead of starting him we start Mc for his pass protection skills.. We are a run first team. All these things being true isn't it obvious that we should be starting Richardson. Yes it's obvious to everyone except the coaches at 1 Arrowhead Drive.

Because Taylor is starting on the left. Move Taylor over to the Right when Albert comes back.

Wow, does noone pay attention. If you are going to go all out and move the entire line around. You put Wade Smith in at center, his primary position. Move Niswanger to RG where he would not only be a better physical fit, but played well in limited time last year. Right now, he is a liability at center b/c of his height. It allows the shorter, bull rushers to get leverage on him. Finally, you put Taylor in at RT, where he IS without any doubt the best option. He has played VERY well on the left side in relief of Albert, but in college, he played 3 yrs. at the RT position. He will not come with the learning curve McIntosh did, and of course there's the fact that he is just plain better and only in his second year.

Albert, Waters, Smith, Niswanger, Taylor.

Get this group some experience together, the last 11 weeks of the season. Come draft time, grab a top center in the 3rd rd. and this line will be set until Waters retires a few years down the line. Draft his replacement a year ahead of time, while finding depth anywhere you can find it.

aturnis 10-06-2008 04:19 PM

By the way, I went to River Falls this year. Richardson would definitely give up more sacks than McIntosh.

Makes too much sense.

:clap:Keys to this are Jones and Mac out and Niswanger not at center. This would be too good to be true and therefore it will never happen, but I think it's the best possible line as well.

SAUTO 10-06-2008 05:28 PM

could richardson maybe take waters spot in this scenario?(when waters is gone?)

SAUTO 10-06-2008 05:29 PM

this would give him maybe a year to groom.

aturnis 10-06-2008 09:01 PM

I don't know, can Richardson play the left side? Also, Waters has more than 1 year left.

T-post Tom 10-06-2008 10:31 PM

Better yet: put Herm in with no pads and his hands tied to his balls.
