Croyle out for season
Just heard it on the radio feed of the game. Herm announced that he's gone for the rest of the season.

If only that was spoken about himself. |
This is just ridiculous. Is DJ back in the game, I know that he left it at one point cause of an injury.
|
Shit, I guess that ends our Super Bowl hopes...
|
Whats the extent of his injury, anyone know? Other than shattered vagina...
|
Cut him. Now. Where is Casey Printers?
|
pussy

Will we go pick up a veteran? Hell no. We'll have Huard, Thigpen, and what's-his-name for the rest of the season.
|
Thats odd what is the injury? I heard a strained knee which would need a MRI to confirm a season ending injury. A broken leg would be reason to say that.
|
Odd. Why would they announce that in the middle of the game? Doesn't Herm have...umm...a game to think about?
|
I thought it was a torn ACL from the second it happened

Right now I'd go with Printers over what we have! We should listen to Whitlock and sign Jeff George!! He can't do any worse! I'm really incredulous at this point.

Maybe when they said "done for the season" they didn't mean because of the injury. |
career ending ability?

I was hoping his knee was just swole.

The announcers' just said Hermie confirmed Croyle's done.

I doubt it's a torn ACL, I think they've just officially given up on him. Even if it is, they're done with him, thank God.

Sheesh, this guy is just fragile or unlucky as hell ......
|
Croyle, welcome to being a career backup.
|
Croyle, welcome to being a former NFL player.
|
It's a good thing that Herm pursued a QB in the offseason when it was blatantly obvious to everyone that we had nothing but thirdstring QB's on the roster.
|
croyle, welcome to your hot deep throating wife leaving you for a real NFL player...like Thigpen, or Huard....

Soon fellas, soon he will be gone.......good luck to you guys. |
Culpepper wants tripple the going rate to play behind this line & for Herm
|
Midwest NFL teams aren't ready for a black QB.
|
Wow. That is so disheartening. I worked late and missed the first half. It looks like he was having a decent start too. 9/10 completions. I would have to agree that we must look in a different direction now. I bet we keep him around as a backup though. IIRC, he is a RFA at the end of this season. Carl will try to get a pick out of him by making an offer. No one will give up the pick, and he will remain a Chief and will compete with whatever QB we draft for a starting spot in camp.
|
Too bad. The O was looking good with him in. I really didn't think the hit was that bad. As I saw him limping off I was thinking, "you better walk that off and get back in." He didn't. I think a coach should have asked him before walking off the field, "Is this injury bad enough to end your NFL career?"
I finally submit to the movement. I like the ability Croyle brings, but the guy just can't stay healthy. It's time to move on. Sadly, I feel bad about wishing this had happened last week so we could have traded for someone with possible potential instead of being forced to ride out the season. |

Croyle is now just an answer to a trivia question
|
where is Chris Sims, how come we don't go after him?

Some vet bandaid wouldn't solve anything. It's time to clean house from top to bottom. And draft whoever the next regime considers a true franchise QB. |
On the plus side, Herm will be able to tell everyone at the end of the season when a starting QB goes down, you can't help but have losses pile up.
Should be good for at least another season's worth of paychecks from KC for Herm. |

If we could get an older vet with starting experience and ability, he could help these kids develope through the rest of the season. Then, when we start a rookie next year, the other players on O are a bit further along in development. Our O has been greatly simplified according to Herm. A new QB should be able to pick it up without all the homework Favre had to go through in NY. Like I posted right after you, I think Croyle's injuries will buy Herm another year anyway. |

I'm done with Herm. All those Jets fans were 100% right. |
The worst thing is that I bought Herm's BS. I agreed that this wasn't his fault.
WELL **** ME! |

Let's be frank here, the people running this franchise cannot evaluate quarterbacks, have not been able to evaluate quarterbacks in Carl Peterson's 20 years here (outside of DV recommending Trent Green), and will continue to not be able to evaluate and develop QB's. If we choose a QB in round one this year, it'll probably be the one destined to be a bust. Oh, and with Dick Curl as his position coach, good luck... |
Quote:
We did. He was in KC talking with the Chiefs when he got a call from Tennessee on his cell phone. He excused himself and left the Chiefs, headed to the airport and hopped a plane to Tennessee. |

I feel bad fro Brodie but we need to move on.
There is no room for Croyle or Thigpen on this team after this week. haurd needs to go after the season, we need to sign a QB this week |
Quote:
If they drafted QB's year in and year out (like Green Bay), they'd have more opportunities to develop and trade said QB's. Instead, they draft four first day QB's in 25 years and wonder why they can't find a franchise QB. Insane. |

Notice my avatar is changed!! Yippie! Thanks for killing another QB Herm!!! :cuss:

I'll bet Brodie hurts himself just walking around every day.

Anyone who paid any attention to history knew Croyle would get injured, this is what happens when you ignore that he couldn't even make it in college, good job there Chiefs scouting.
