viewed from preseason expectations, the Cowboys, but no team has ever done what the Broncos did, lose a 3 game division lead with 3 games to go. That takes true talent, or lack thereof.

I have a three way tie: Tampa Bay Bucs, New York Jets and Dallas Cowboys.

If the front office makes mention that Favre had a significant shoulder and elbow injury, I would cross the team off the list.

As painful as it was, I don't think the Broncos' was the worst.

That team was not expected to be good and was not good. Though they did it in spectacularly pathetic fashion, the Broncos ended up about where they were supposed to. In fact, I, and a lot of others, thought they'd wind up more on the order of 6 wins.

The Cowboys, on the other hand, have shitpiles of talent, and were supposed to be a SB contender. No comparison IMO.

The biggest collapse without a doubt was the New York Jets.

You're talking ever, last years Mets have to take the cake. Single game collapse, the Saints who gave up the lead, got back to a within one, then missed the extra point has to figure in there.

The Bucs lost their last 4 when a single win would've put them in as well.

That's a worse collapse than the Packers and 'boys (who never really collapsed, they were steadily mediocre).

And the GM and owner fire the head coach and both state they want Favre back next year. In the last 5 games Favre had two TDs and 9 picks. No amount of coaching is going to overcome such bad QB play.
