Now that is a name.

Mecca 01-01-2009 07:45 PM

Greene is leaving because even though he's an underclassman he's 24 or 25 years old.

aturnis 01-01-2009 08:07 PM

And he's huge with some effin' moves.

Will be interesting to see what he runs at the combine. He's a load to bring down, but he doesn't look like he has elite game speed.

aturnis 01-01-2009 09:19 PM

definitely doesn't have break-away speed. Though the combination of his strength and skill did allow him a lot of long runs this season.

Also going pro are CB Vontae Davis of Illinois, DT Ricky Jean-Francois of LSU, DT Sen'Derrick Marks of Auburn, and CB D.J. Moore of Vanderbilt.

Sanchez wont declare. He hasnt even been the starter long enough to warrant declaring for the draft.

I suspect that Matt Cassell has destroyed any sort of years-starting requirement for USC QBs.

ROYC75 01-05-2009 03:21 PM

Also North Carolina WR Hakeem Nicks is declaring for the draft.

aturnis 01-05-2009 03:55 PM

Why wouldn't a 4th yr. junior declare?

ROFL

That's what I was thinking.

royr17 01-05-2009 03:59 PM

That would be so crazy if Stafford, Bradford, and Sanchez all declare.

I saw nothing more than this kids Bowl Game, but FKG WOW!

I'm not stating the he unequivocally will declare, but when have you ever been right about anything regarding the draft or the NFL?

So he'll be 24 to start the NFL season.

Yep, time for him to go.

No. It would be wonderful.

Mecca 01-05-2009 06:22 PM

Well he point was he's older than a typical player in that position...he's right now older than most seniors are. He's older than Marshawn Lynch is...right now.

Hakeem Nicks reminds me of Reggie Wayne, good size, outstanding hands, good route runner, he won't have elite timed speed though so he'll drop into the 2nd or 3rd round.

Go Mizzou & Chiefs 01-05-2009 06:46 PM

[B]i say who cares about Shonn Greene when we can get Darren Sproles as a free agent, Hes about the same age as Greene hes way faster and has more experience, he can be an elite back/ kick and punt returner

Darren Sproles will never be an elite, full-time running back. He's way too small.

Darren Sproles can't carry a full load...how useful is that? We already have a guy who can't handle a full load. His name is Jamal Charles.

We also have one that carries a perpetual pantload; greatest waste of money ever.

If you made Sproles your starting RB for an entire season he'd never be able to play every game.

The story today was that he spent most of the day in an ice tub, he was in that bad of shape.

Plus, he caught a break playing the Colts. Imagine him playing the Titans or Steelers...

Sweet Daddy Hate 01-05-2009 09:25 PM

What's up with Manning? That was the saddest display I've seen out of him in a long time.

He knows that if the Colts had even an average defense, he'd likely have a few more rings?

KCChiefsMan 01-05-2009 09:37 PM

I want a guy named Captain on our team

and strong as a f***ing Ox...started the year as the #2 behind this guy:

who will also be available after rehabbing knee. I would take Nicks on strength, but Tate is an explosive player.

I was thinking more along the lines of "if he and his OFFENSE would pull their heads out" etc.

Maybe the 80 sutures in his knee finally caught up with him this season.

That being said, that defense should be executed.

They were as bad as the 2008 Chiefs.

Well just read this on KFFL LB Eric Norwood has reconsidered entering the NFL Draft and has removed his name from the draft.
