Could this be true with Herm?

Frankie 01-16-2009 09:12 PM

Ebolapox 01-16-2009 09:12 PM

**** if I know. I want him out the door and now.

but then again, I also wanted us to drat joey harrington and byron leftwich. I should NOT be trusted as far the chiefs are concerned.

RedThat 01-16-2009 09:14 PM

Absolutely. Our best move would have been to never hire Herm.

When guys like Gruden are getting fired there is absolutely no way to justify Herm not being fired.

Negative Ghost Rider. The pattern is full.

bishop_74 01-17-2009 09:09 AM

I am going to have to trust Pioli and his decisions. He may not have a choice this year. What choice do we have anyway really.

Absolutely...I can already see the Patsification of the Chiefs taking place, as far as people wondering just WTF is going to take place..:)

SDChief 01-17-2009 09:20 AM

I still think that everybody in house knows that Herm is done (including Herm). All of his assistants are leaving, he was not at the Pioli welcome. He is probably just in his job title to put doubt in other teams of Pioli's intentions. I think Pioli has someone in mind and they are hashing it out this week. Funny that Chan's name isn't mentioned anywhere, maybe he is part of the new Pioli and the new coach's plans?

I see your point. But I would say that getting rid of Herm and promoting Gailey (even for one season), though not a permanent fix, would be a better option than keeping Herm where he's at.

since I'm on some sort of wild (and perhaps unnecessary) posting roll -
I'll go ahead and agree as well. Gonzo should retire having played every game of his professional football career in a Kansas City Chiefs uniform. He's too good to let go.

Another stupid question to ponder. With all the coaching openings around the league right now. Why would the Chiefs intentionally keep Herm Edwards from finding future employment, if they were planning on firing him? Is C.Hunt or Pioli keeping Herm from joining other teams?

Perhaps TPTB at 1 Arrowhead Drive don't see the firing of Herm Edwards as a no-brainer the way most of us do. Or maybe they hate Herm and they don't want him to get another job. Or maybe they have fired Herm, they just haven't announced it. I can't say for sure. But I hope it's because Pioli is really looking at all sides of the equation and doesn't want to make a rash decision one way or the other. At this point there's still plenty of time for Herm to be fired by us, and still move on to ruin someone else's franchise.

Would it destroy your life if Herm was here for another year or two? We have no power in these decisions. I didn't see the fans screaming together for Herms head at the games. I only see it here. I don't care much for Herms coaching during a game, but he does have control over his players. I would like to see him finish what he started.

el borracho 01-17-2009 11:00 AM

What do you mean by, "finish what he started"?

Not if he keeps the coach.

whoman69 01-17-2009 12:44 PM

I liken those who want to keep the coach to those who thought that Bush's 2nd term would be any different than the clusterfuck that was his first.

DJ's left nut 01-17-2009 01:22 PM

No.
