That defense underperformed big time this past season. They have way too many high draft picks and talented players for them to be ranked in the bottom third of all defense.

My initial gut feeling is that if he was quitting to come to KC then he would have resigned, not been fired.

Yes, he was FIRED, but that just means he's available to take on a smaller role, like LBer or DB coach. He's been the D-Coordinator in Arizona for 5 years and would bring some experience to the staff and some familiarity to Haley.

He was a Dennis Green guy. He's not coming here.

I'd love the Chiefs to hire him. The AZ D gave up 47, 48, 37, 35, and 56 pts. Now that is a good D huh. I hope the Chiefs go to a 3-4 as it will take some work as the current cover 2 Defenders don't fit it well and it will take a couple more crappy years to right the ship.

I also don't believe the Pendergast firing because Athan and GOQUEER never reported it with all their personal inside info.

I don't want him either, but just thought it was interesting he was fired the same day as Haley was hired here. Plus, his name had been mentioned a few times in the defensive coordinator threads.

He's not good. He's notorious for going in a shell when the games on the line, especially when they had a little lead. Think about the SB. They went into prevent. They were rushing 3 most of the time. I do not want him.

He should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
