I typed Chiefsplanet into google to see if there was another thread (about a different topic I was thinking about posting) and this thread from WPI came up.

I notice a couple of you that are members here and there.

I just think its funny how in the beginning of their thread they are hating on CP then by the end of the thread they are pretty much saying that they should be more like CP.

Anyways, if its not a repost have fun. If it is, feel free to delete.

I think he was referring to the fact that they like that we have few forums, so our main forum gets the bulk of the attention. Later on they were talking about doing something similar.

This is the only board I've ever known other than the old KC Star board. Are we really such a bunch of ruffians over here compared to other BBs?

It sure sounds like it. Though we must "matter" as they wonder why we hate them. One poster got it pretty much dead on in that it is more about our disdain for Nick, not really the posters at WPI.

This board definitely has its own personality.

I used to post at WPI back in the day and Drunkie (the poster you're referring to) was one of the best guys over there. He types like a 2nd grader but is a pretty smart guy who hit the nail on the head.

We are a bunch of Thugs.

I though it was the fact that they all drink Nick's kool-aid over there. Therefore...are less informed and really just about as useful as most local noob's.

We have some posters here that would fit in really well over there.

This board is tame compared to some of the ones I post on.

Seeing how they are both Chiefs boards, I would hope so.

I go over there every once in while, and most of them say they will be really pissed if we choose Stafford or Sanchez in the first. Its quite comical

I was just making a point that for such a small - or what appears small - member group, they had like 12 boards. They had themselves spread to thin in my opinion.

I've been preaching that to them for a year.

That's true there are alot of dumb fans, and that's why WPI gets bashed, being associated with dumb fans of your team makes you look bad. So it's best to try to separate from them.

The same opinions are on both boards, this dumb fans thing is stupid. Both boards have fans of every level.
Being a knowledgeable poster that you are, why would you look down on fans that may know less than you. Perhaps they would like to learn from you, if you arent a jerk?

There are posters on this forum I think are stupid and I make no bones about it, CoMoChief is like a lab experiment gone bad.

I've tried WPI, very briefly. It's very boring. There are only so many ways to say "Here's what I think the Chiefs should do". I'm sure they're all perfectly nice folks.

The humor over here and what I would call "all out" posting is better. Still, its a good board with many good posters just like this one.

I dont have any problem w/ WPI. As a matter of fact after actually looking at it, its not as bad as I've heard people make it out to be.

I think some of our members dont like the premium content idea, but thats Scout's issue, not WPI's.

Anyhow, I'm just a Chargers fan so on an outside looking in perspective, it was just funny to me.

I signed up over there a couple years ago. It irritated me when people would voice displeasure with the Chiefs and the elder members would crap all over them for it. I don't want any part of a site that won't allow you to voice negative opinions when they are deserved.

Homerism drives me nuts.

And not expressing homerism pisses off the homers it even happens here.

I don't hate wpi. I think Athan is the product of 2 first cousins, and I laugh at some of the mentality.

"OMG WHY HAVEN"T TEH CHIEFS TAGGED D JOHNSON YET!!" threads are why we make fun of them on occasion.

Each board has a personality. Like people, some personalities are more likely to enjoy the company of certain types of people.

Some Chiefs boards are for church ladies, others for Jr high boys, some of people who need medication, and the big boys' board.

There's a lot of homers here, but I'd say we are pretty harsh and realistic for the most part here at CP. I don't know much if anything about WPI, other than they constantly send me emails trying to get me to buy their content.

I'm not sure I can put into words how little I care.

I tried going to other Chiefs forums. I posted a mocking picture of Herm when they all started giving me crap for it so i quit and stumbled on CP. screw them. wimps.

this board is the first one ive ever joined..i love it here..and it does seem you can get away with a lot on here...like if i say that i have three testicles from eating lead paint, some place you cant say that..

I'm actually trying to remember the last time I banned anyone other than Marlboro Chief. People get temp bans every once in a while, but perma-bans around here are extremely rare.

I've never visited the WPI board, so I am genuinely curious; do fans of opposing teams become regular posters over there or is it limited to Chiefs fans? One of the things I like about Chiefsplanet is the fact that it has appeal beyond just being a Chiefs' fan. We have regulars here who are Bronco fans, regulars who like the Raiders, regulars who like the Patriots. Hell, we even have the Chargers' fan. That says something, IMO.

Someone better tell them if they dream about calling us retodds that they'd better wake up and apologize.

I don't personally have a problem with WPI. I do have a problem with Nick. He screwed me over significantly but to his credit he did attempt to make it as right as he possibly could when he could have probably gotten away with a total screw-job. I just think he does a bad job there. But he tries really hard and I know he's passionate about what he does.

That's about a nice as I can possibly be.
